What a difference a year can make.

When we visited Cheuteal Jrom in early 2025, many families were facing extreme hardship. Food was scarce, water was difficult to access, and daily life was uncertain.

The goal was never just to respond in the moment, but to support long-term, sustainable change.

Today, through the work of HOPE Cambodia and the generosity of supporters, we are seeing that change take place. Clean water, growing crops, and greater stability for families.

Clean water is opening doors in Cheuteal Jrom.

Families are growing food through the dry season, children are healthier, and access to hygiene, roads, and opportunity is steadily improving. What was once daily uncertainty is being replaced with stability and hope.

This progress is community led and future focused. It is the result of local leadership, long term partnership, and supporters who believe lasting change starts from the ground up.

Early in November, a new well was completed in Cheuteal Jrom. Just days later, families began planting the seeds provided through this project, turning clean water into the beginnings of food, income, and stability.

In a season where uncertainty sits heavy across parts of Cambodia, these moments of progress matter even more. Clean water brings security. Gardens bring nourishment. Local leadership brings strength.
