Fun cycle ride in support of the Cancer Society's Lions Lodge.

Sunday 25th May 2025
Starting points: 10am - Kopu, Waihi, Te Aroha, 11am - Karangahake In support of the Cancer Society's 'Lions Lodge' Hamilton, the combined Lions Clubs of Paeroa, Thames, Waihi and Te Aroha are getting together to fundraise for this good cause. On Sunday 18th April 2021 we'll be holding a fun cycle ride along the Hauraki Rail Trail, finishing at the Railway Reserve in Paeroa (op

posite Caltex Service Station). The ride starts at 10am from any of the below locations:
- Placemakers Kopu (26kms)
- Waihi Goldfields Railway Station (25kms)
- Old Te Aroha Railway Station (21kms)

OR

- Old Karangahake Hall site, at 11am (7km)

*Pre-paid Registration Fees*
Primary School teams of 6 (must include 2 adults) $50
College/Business House teams of 6 $80

Enter at start line on the day. This event will be held wet or fine. All proceeds will go to the Cancer Society's 'Lions Lodge", a facility providing free accommodation, meals and support for those who needing to travel for cancer treatment.

Its looking like a beautiful day tomorrow to ride the Hauraki rail trail in support of a great cause. Come help the lIons raise money for the Cancer Society’s “Lions Lodge” Hamilton.

Either pre-register or just turn up on the day at one of our 4 start locations and sign up.

The 2025 Lions Fun Ride is being held on Sunday 25th May, all Funds raised go to the Cancer Society’s “Lions Lodge” Hamilton. We are running 4 Rides. Waihi to Paeroa, Te Aroha to Paeroa, Kopu to Paeroa and a Kids ride Karangahake to Paeroa.
The registration fees are as follows;
Primary School Teams of 6 $50
College/Bussiness or other Teams of 6 $80
Adults $15
Children (5 to 14) $5
Family pass 2 Adults & 2 Children $35

It is thanks to generous support of our community that the Lions Clubs of Ngaeta, Paeroa, Te Aroha and Waihi have raised over $20,000 for the The Cancer Society's Lions Lodge in Hamilton. There is still time to register for the Fun Lions Fun Ride or just turn up at any of our 4 start points on Sunday morning.
