I’m developing a certificate to accompany each Intenature Art Gift, and I would love your thoughts on the design.
The idea is that this certificate should feel like part of the gift itself. A meaningful keepsake that tells the story behind the artwork and recognises the recipient’s contribution to nature through conservation, restoration, or environmental care.
It needs to feel personal, elegant, and worthy of the person receiving it.
Do you feel a certificate is the right way to present this recognition?
What design elements would make it feel more special?
Would you prefer something classic and formal, or more organic and artistic in keeping with the handmade nature of the gift?
I’d really value your opinions on the layout, wording, and overall feel of the design shown here.
Please share your thoughts in the comments — your feedback will help shape the final presentation of the Intenature Art Gift concept.

I want to hear from you.
Who in your community is working to protect wildlife, restore habitats, or care for nature?
Tag them below or tell me their story.
They may inspire a future Intenature Art Gift.

Today marks a very special moment — the presentation of the first Intenature Art Gift.
This inaugural piece is being gifted to Catriona Gower in recognition of her outstanding conservation work in The Catlins and her commitment to protecting one of New Zealand’s most precious natural landscapes.
But this gift is more than a handmade artwork.
It is a tribute to the dedication, care, and quiet determination it takes to stand for nature and help protect the species and habitats that make this place so extraordinary. Created from natural materials connected to the landscape, the artwork carries with it a story of place, purpose, and gratitude.
It is my way of saying thank you for the difference you continue to make.
The Intenature Art Gift concept was created to honour those who give back to the natural world, and it feels deeply meaningful that the very first piece goes to someone whose work embodies that spirit so beautifully.
Please join me in celebrating Catriona and the incredible conservation work being carried out in The Catlins.
We are proud that the first presentation of this gift recognises work of such integrity and importance.
Please join us in acknowledging and celebrating Catriona Gower for her contribution to conservation in The Catlins.

I’m developing a new concept called Intenature Art Gifts I’d love your design thoughts.
When presenting an Intenature artwork as a gift, what do you feel should accompany it?
• A certificate?
• A plaque?
• A story card?
• Something completely different?
The presentation matters, because this is more than just a painting — it represents a story, a species, and a genuine commitment to giving back to Nature.

Is it the beauty of the object itself?
The thought behind it?
The story it carries?
Or the feeling it leaves with the person receiving it?
For me, the most meaningful gifts are never just things — they are symbols of love, gratitude, recognition, and connection. They tell someone, I see who you are, I value what you have done, and this matters.
That is the heart behind Intenature Art Gift.
Each handmade piece is created from natural materials gathered from the habitat connected to the subject of the artwork, making every gift deeply rooted in the story of the natural world. But beyond the art itself, each piece is intended to honour someone who has given back to nature through acts of conservation, care, or environmental action.
It becomes more than a present.
It becomes a tribute.
A story.
A lasting reminder that their actions have made a difference.
I would love to hear your thoughts — what makes a gift truly meaningful to you?
Is it personal connection, story, purpose, beauty, or something else entirely?
Please share in the comments.

What if a work of art could be more than something you simply hang on a wall?
What if each piece could become a gift that gives something back to Nature?
This week I’m excited to unveil a new concept — transforming my artwork into meaningful environmental gifts that celebrate creativity, connection, and care for the natural world.
I’d love for you to follow along as I share the idea over the coming days and invite your thoughts and feedback.

I’m developing a new concept created to recognize and honour the work of chosen conservationists whose efforts are making a meaningful difference for wildlife and the natural world.
Each artwork would be accompanied by some form of authentication —perhaps a certificate, plaque, or another form of commemorative recognition that reflects the significance of the recipient’s work.
• Is this a good idea?
• How would you design the gift presentation?
• Should it be a certificate, plaque, or another form?
• Who do you think is worthy of receiving something like this?
I would love to hear your thoughts.

Making samples with the plant material cut into 1cm squares and run through the juicer for a maximum of 5 minutes. Some success, but I'll need to experiment further.
