Did you know? For 30 years all stall fees from the Otaki Market are reinvested back into the community. We help local sports clubs, individuals and groups right here in Otaki. Here is just one of those stories:

In 2025 we extended our reach to support Levin Intermediate in hosting their own Kids Market. This was a special pop-up kids' market to help fundraise for the young people who are travelling to Japan for a student exchange experience.

Young people spent the day developing ideas, building confidence, and learning from experienced business and community leaders through mentoring, workshops, and pitch practice. Congratulations to all the participants, and thank you to the mentors, volunteers, and organisers who made the day such a success.

For months, the talented ladies of the OWCC Sewing Group have been busy creating, stitching, and bringing a vision to life.

Soon, a new visual storytelling project will begin to take shape across the market site — celebrating the stories, people, and places that make our community unique. From the Ōtaki Market and Kids Market to the Ōtaki Women's Community Club and the wider Ōtaki community, every piece has been handcrafted with care.

This beautification project is more than just colour and creativity. It's a celebration of who we are, where we've come from, and what makes Ōtaki special. Watch this space...we can't wait to share it with you. 🧵✨
