What a lovely reminder of a fantastic night at the Electra Business & Innovation Awards!

We’re still feeling pretty chuffed to have been recognised in the Not for Profit / Community Services category. A huge thank you to Electra and LT McGuinness Ltd for celebrating the incredible work happening across our community, and to everyone who supports OWCC, Otaki Market and the The Kids Market.

It takes a community to make a community, and we’re proud to be part of it! ❤️

Something special is about to take its place at the market!

Our beautiful new Ōtaki Market flags have been proudly created by the OWCC Sewing Group, and we can’t wait to officially unveil them.
These aren’t just flags. Each one tells a story.

💚 Come along and help us celebrate the unveiling of something made by our community, for our community. We’d love to see you there!

🏆 WE WON! 🏆
What a night for the Ōtaki Women’s Community Club!
We are incredibly proud to have been named the winner of the Electra Business & Innovation Awards – Not-for-Profit / Community Services Award.

For a volunteer-led community organisation, this means so much.

The OWCC is powered by women who give their time, energy, skills and heart to make a difference in our community. From supporting local causes and young people, to running community events, fundraising, connecting people and creating opportunities, there is a huge amount that happens behind the scenes.

A very big thank you to Electra and the Business & Innovation Awards for recognising the contribution of not-for-profit organisations in our communities.

And to our wonderful OWCC team: this one is yours. ❤️

Small team. Big heart. Huge community spirit.

Did you spot our awesome OWCC Club member, Diana?
Take a closer look at the photo…are you wearing the same top?! 😂

This photo was taken back in 1997, when Diana was absolutely rocking the 90s vibe. Fast forward to our Drag Queen Bingo, and she’s still bringing the style!
