We're on a mission to shift from throwaway to reusable. Bring your own, or sit and enjoy.

Join us in protecting our environment, one cup at a time. Together, we can make a difference! SUCfree Oamaru (Single-use cup free Oamaru) is community-led initiative. We have a goal for Oamaru to become the second 100% single use cup free town in the South Island, after Wanaka. We exist to shift our community behaviour from single use to reuse. We want to engage and inspire everyone to make a behavior change for the health of themselves, future generations and the Earth.

No more disposable cups at their shows – they’ve fully switched to reusable ones! ♻️🥤

With hundreds of cups used at each performance, this change means less waste, cleaner events, and a big win for the planet. 🌍

His innovative cups are HOME COMPOSTABLE!!! 🏡♻️

Even more exciting news - there's already a Café in Oamaru eager to get these amazing home compostable cups on board to swap from commercially compostable ones!

Watch this space - we'll tell you who the first café is!!! 👀

On 12th July (Sunday) our SUC free group was part of the Plastic Free Expo July in Oamaru.

Look how one of our amazing member educated visitors about importance of reducing Single-Use-Cups!!

We also gave away some prizes generously donated by Taste Cafe and Harbour Street Collective Cafe - Huge thank to them and congratulations to the winners!
