This morning our leaders volunteered at the Tuff Crater Reserve Parkrun as part of the Girls' Brigade NZ national walk-a-thon day. Rocking the high vis vests our leaders helped out with time keeping, barcode scanning and tail walking. Such a fun morning, the weather was perfect and of course coffee at the end.

Last term the Glenfield girls had a go at some sewing projects.

Our Junior group were hand sewing. We started learning backstitch to make colourful rainbows. Then we made felt naughts & crosses games using a running stitch and stitched on buttons. We then tried out finger knitting and turned out knitting into butterflies.

Whilst our Senior group learnt how to use a sewing machine. They made book marks and decorated canvas bags!
