Wakatoo now closed 🥊😢
2018 has been and gone and we welcome 2019. All the best to you all for a great year.
12 years of Wakatoo have now come to an end of an era -
Mutz ( Matekohi) needs to stand back with the arrival of his newest family member to arrive any time and Milo (David) is unable to step back in as coach. Brad and Cory have relocated from the Waikato.
So the gym sadly closed end of 2018.
A huge Thanks must go out to Mutz who has run the gym the last few years.
Brad , Cory, Rangi, Daryl,Tee, Nanna Re and all our sponsors, all our members, all our volunteers, all those boxers that made us proud and competed in Wakatoo uniforms amateur and corporate, all our referees and judges, Kirikiriroa Boxing assn, & Boxing NZ. Thank
You all.
Our lives have crossed many
paths, many special
Memories and friendships made.
We were just a small gym but gained 5 x NZ titles, Many regional titles, NZ golden glove runner -ups.
Some Highlights were :
Rangi when she competed in China in the NZ elite females development team and Cory at the Youth Commonwealth Games In Isle of Man.
Our gym had a visit from the great Sugar Ray Leonard in 2010 what a great experience for us all that we will never forget.
All this wouldn’t have happened if our boys hadn’t wanted to box with their mates.
It’s been a great 12 years- Thanks to all those that have been part of these 12 years.
The hard sweat and training is over End of an Year 🥊🙂🥊
