Rangatahi are 💯 % looking for community, connection and courage to share their own stories. Rising from the Ashes was a meaningful experience for them towards this.
❤️ Our rangatahi are watching... and they are listening. ❤️
One of the most special parts of Rising From the Ashes was welcoming young people to hear the stories of the incredible women in our Diamonds in the Rough community.
As we listened, it became clear that many of our rangatahi are facing challenges similar to those our women experienced growing up. The difference is that they now have the opportunity to see what healing, hope, and resilience can look like.
Our women stood on stage with incredible courage, showing that no matter where your journey begins, it does not have to define where it ends.
These conversations about trauma, consent, healthy relationships, and breaking cycles are not always easy - but they are necessary. Every young person deserves to know they have a voice, that they matter, and that there are people who believe in them.
If even one rangatahi left believing that their future can be different because of what they saw and heard, then every story shared was worth it. A huge thank you to Poutokomanawa - Youth & Whanau for bringing them.
To our incredible women, thank you for leading with courage. Your stories are creating hope - not only for today, but for the next generation.
Together, we are breaking cycles.
Together, we are building hope.
Together, we rise ❤️🔥
