Tasman District Council - Te Kaunihera o te tai o Aorere Firewood Saturday 🔥🔥🔥
This Saturday is Firewood Saturday – have you got your ticket yet?
What's this all about? Firewood Saturday is on 18 October at Moturoa / Rabbit Island, and the wood will be $100 a trailer load (for 2 cubic metres). The firewood is unsplit but has been cut into rings, mostly pine, and needs to be dried over summer before it can be burned.
When you buy a ticket, you’ll be given a time slot between 8am and 4pm on Saturday – no entry without a ticket. To avoid long traffic queues, trailers will be mechanically loaded by our team.
Get your ticket now from the Richmond and Motueka Libraries – more than half the tickets have gone in the past week.
A similar event earlier this year raised $10,000 each for Nelson Tasman Hospice and Nelson Women’s Refuge, and this time it’s the Fifeshire Foundation’s turn to reap the rewards. Fifeshire Foundation is a Charitable Trust that assists local people in hardship and domestic crisis.
This is the perfect opportunity to warm up next winter and support a worthy local organisation that helps others – grab your ticket from the Richmond or Motueka Library.
