BATTLE OF THE CLUBS

The Green Machine is stepping into the ring!

Massive respect to our three brothers Te Oranga Taniwha Johnny Rush and Tre Takerei for putting their hands up to represent the Matamata Raiders. It takes plenty of courage to step between those ropes, and the whole Raiders whānau will be right behind you boys.

We’ve done it before — just like our Grand Final, we want to PACK THE PLACE OUT IN THE MIGHTY GREEN! Let’s turn Mercury Bay Park into Raider Nation for the night.

Bring the whānau, bring the mates, wear your green and get LOUD. Every cheer counts when our boys are in there representing the club.

Even better, every ticket sold through our club link puts $40 straight back into the Raiders, so by supporting the boys on the night, you’re also supporting the future of our club.

Saturday 14 November
Mercury Bay Park, Mt Maunganui
Battle of the Clubs

All ticket options, event info and our club ticket link will be in the bio and below on this post.

Let’s get behind our brothers and show everyone what RAIDER NATION is all about.

GREEN MACHINE. ONE CLUB. ONE WHĀNAU.

OUR JUNIOR RAIDERS ARE READY TO RIP IN!

This Saturday, Pohlen Park comes alive for a massive day of junior rugby league! From our little Under 5s right through to Under 15s — plenty of footy, plenty of fun and a great day for our kids.

9AM–2PM | Pohlen Park, Matamata

Bring the whānau down, grab some kai and get behind the next generation of league.

It’s been a busy three weeks for our Matamata Junior Raiders!

We kicked things off with a great carnival in Ngatea, then hit the road and travelled up to Whitianga in the Mercury Bay for another awesome day of footy. Last weekend we were back a little closer to home, heading to Paeroa for games hosted by Hauraki Rugby League.

It’s been awesome watching our tamariki out there representing the Raiders, playing some great footy, building friendships and enjoying being part of rugby league.

A massive thank you to all of our coaches, managers, whānau and supporters who make these weekends possible, and of course to all of our incredible sponsors. Your support has helped us get this new junior club up and running and gives our kids the opportunity to get out there every week and enjoy the game.

Plenty of great memories made over the last few weeks — and plenty more to come.

Up the Raiders!

🎙️ MIC’D UP: MAIA EDITION

For some reason, someone gave Maia a microphone during our Seniors photos… and being Maia, he took that as permission to annoy absolutely everyone.

Never again.

Before our Senior Raiders took the field and brought home the Grand Final, the next generation of Raiders were already out there doing us proud at Hinuera and Pohlen Park.

Seeing our juniors pulling on the green, enjoying their footy and representing the Raiders is what this club is all about. What started as an idea to bring rugby league back to Matamata is quickly becoming something much bigger.

From our youngest Raiders right through to our Senior Grand Final Champions, the pathway is starting to take shape.

Rugby league is on the rise in Matamata — and this is only the beginning.

The future is GREEN. 💚⚔️
