🌟 Celebrating Old Girl Success 🌟

SMOGA warmly congratulates St Matthew’s Old Girl Ingrid Horrocks, Class of 1993, who has won the prestigious Jann Medlicott Acorn Prize for Fiction at the 2026 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards for her debut short story collection, All Her Lives.

This is an outstanding achievement in New Zealand literature, and we are delighted to acknowledge Ingrid’s success and the creative path she has taken since her school days.

Congratulations, Ingrid — what a wonderful accomplishment.

📣 **YOUR VOICE MATTERS — FEEDBACK NEEDED**

St Matthew’s Collegiate is seeking feedback from the wider school community on three potential future Operating Models currently being considered by the Trinity Schools Trust Board.

This is an important opportunity for Old Girls, families and the wider St Matthew’s community to have their say.

The three options being considered are:

**C. Diamond Model — Trinity Junior, Middle and Senior Colleges**

⏰ **Feedback closes at 7pm on Sunday 17 May**

**SMOGA photo mystery! 🧡**

Elsje has shared this wonderful photo of the 7th Form pupils standing in front of the school chapel in 1994 — and we’d love your help filling in the gaps.

A few names have been suggested already, but there are still plenty of faces to identify. We’d also love to know the story behind the **brick-coloured jerseys** — was this a 7th Form thing, a special occasion, or just excellent 90s school fashion?

So, Old Girls of 1994 — and anyone with a good memory — please comment below with any names you recognise, left to right if you can.

So far we have:

*Back row L–R:
– , Sarah Harrild, – , – , Nicola Guildford, –

*Third row L–R:
– , Anna Armstrong, – , – , – , Wendy Hayes

*Second row L–R:
Sabrina Kwong, Daisy Lee, – , – , Lucy McLeod?, Zoe Ramsden, – , –

*Front row L–R:
Vivian Weng, – , – , Anthea Williams, – , – , – , Hellena McArthur, – , – , –

Let’s see if we can complete the class roll call! 📸

Calling all 1980s Fergie girls.
Can you help provide the names of those featuring in these three photographs from the Fergie 1986 House play "Unhand me Squire" for the archives?
