The St Matthew’s Old Girls’ Association (SMOGA) is dedicated to connecting past pupils of St Matthew’s & supporting the school wherever possible.

We manage SMOGA grants, scholarships, organise the annual reunion, & host the Year 13 Leavers’ Breakfast.

SMOGA would love to celebrate our recent graduates in the next school magazine!

If you’re a St Matthew’s Old Girl who has recently graduated from university or another tertiary programme, please send us:

• Your full name
• The qualification you completed
• The institution you graduated from
• A brief update about what you’re doing next
• A graduation photo, preferably 1–2MB

Parents, grandparents, aunts and friends — if you know a recent graduate, please tag them, share this post or encourage them to get in touch. We don’t want to miss anyone!

🎓 Calling our 2025 leavers!

We’re putting together the next school magazine and would love to include an update on what our 2025 leavers have been doing since leaving St Matthew’s.

Whether you’ve started university or other study, entered the workforce, travelled, taken a gap year or followed a completely different path, we’d love to hear from you!

Please send us:
• Your full name
• A short paragraph about what you have been doing since leaving school
• Any highlights or plans for the year ahead

If you’re the mum, grandmother, aunt or friend of a 2025 leaver, please tag them, share this post or pass the message on. We know not all our recent leavers will see the SMOGA page themselves!

This festive photograph shows a group of pupils standing on the Cleghorn stage, surrounded by Christmas decorations.

We suspect it may have been taken at an end-of-year function or perhaps a boarders’ Christmas breakup — but can anyone confirm the occasion?

✨ Welcoming our future Old Girls ✨

We had the pleasure of catching up with our Year 13 students today to talk a little about SMOGA and staying connected with the St Matthew’s community once they leave school. 💚

We were also lucky to have Zoë Porter pop in with her beautiful St Matthew’s Leavers Rings. These aren’t just for our 2026 leavers — they’re available to any St Matthew’s Old Girl who would like one.

A big thank you to Zoë for coming along and showing the girls the rings. 💍 She is also offering 10% off for this year’s leavers, which might be handy for any mums thinking ahead to a special leaving-school or Christmas gift! 🎁

Ring sizes are available to try at the school office.

We hope today’s Year 13s will stay part of the SMOGA community for many years to come. 💚✨

Old Girls — your voice matters 💚💛

St Matthew’s warmly encourages Old Girls to attend the upcoming Trinity Futures Hui and be part of the conversation about the future of our school and the wider Trinity schools community.

The hui is an opportunity to hear directly from the Trinity Schools Trust Board, ask questions and engage with governors before the Board considers community feedback and decides on a future-focused operating model.
