Last week our tauira from Waimahia school had their schoolnball/graduation as they make that next step to High School.

it has been an awesome term and what a way to finish the year for these tauira in the Ted Manson Foundation Limo.

To the team at TMF thank you for allowing the kids to have such an experience they really enjoyed it and so did the staff seeing the kids light up when the Limo showed up unexpectedly.

Thank you to the parents for trusting your Tamariki in our care we have really enjoyed the time we had with them.

As much as I would have loved to of spent today with our tauira unfortunately I wasn't lol. But was sent these amazing photos of their mentoring session finishing up their maunga with whaea Hazel. Tino flash tamariki.

We learnt from the first session the excitement and joy of getting their hands dirty the team got some ponchos to save their clothes great idea isnt it?.

Whaea Wai coming in with cupcake making to add the final touches. We have some very artistic tauira this tine round so good to be able to find common ground.

Great start to the week with Whaea Hazel who is studying to be a youth coach and has a passion for young tamariki. Bringing them out their comfort zone is her greatest gift to us and has been awesome watching her engage with the tamariki.

This week the tamariki got a little dirty making their own glue and back to the basics of paper mache' maunga starting with a foundation made up of a wooden base some left over pots from plants and a whole lot of flour water and paper.

Some awesome photos captured of happiness and tomorrow they finish their team effort maunga with paint.

I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Hey guys tomorrow looking like beautiful weather for Levi and Vid to come through to hook the community up with free barber cuts.

They will start from 10am through till about 2pm here at the clendon community house.

Location.. 60 maplesden drive clendon
Time.. 10am to 2pm
When.. tomorrow 16th October 2025
Why because its not about the money.
