๐ŸŽ‰ Big News from Freemasons New Zealand!

https://freemasonsnz.org/

When Cyclone Gabrielle hit us hard in February 2023, Freemasons across New Zealand stepped up big time! ๐Ÿ™ŒOur Grand Master Jim Watt wasted no time and set up the Grand Master's Cyclone Relief fund, which received donations and relief offers nationwide from Freemasons and lodges. Thanks to everyone's efforts, especially our amazing leadership team and the tireless members from Eastland Ruahine District, we've turned a challenging time into a win for our community.

๐Ÿค Working in close partnership with Napier City Council and the honourable Mayor Kirsten Wise, our District Grand Master, Kevin Jackson, focused on meaningful ways to contribute to the recovery efforts. This collaboration led to a heartfelt project that not only aids in healing but also enriches our community.

๐Ÿš€ Fast forward to April 2024: We've just helped open a new playground at Gleeson Park! Thanks to a $30k donation from Freemasons NZ, kids and families in Napier now have a spinning carousel to enjoy! Itโ€™s all about bringing smiles back to those affected by the cyclone and creating a happy space for future generations.

A massive thank you to Napier City Council and everyone who made this happen.

Anzac Day is a
time to reflect on
the servicemen
and servicewomen,
past and present,
who have displayed
courage and self-sacrifice serving
our country.

We remember and give thanks for the sacrifices made by our brethren on the battlefield.

We're excited to share a big achievement from our partners at the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research! They've completed an important phase in their work on a new cancer treatment, bringing us closer to making it available in New Zealand.

The team has finished a trial with 30 patients and is getting ready for the next phase to help even more people. This progress could change cancer care for the better in our country.

We're proud to support this important work and look forward to seeing how it will help New Zealanders in the future.

Here's to innovation and health

๐ŸŽ‰ Big cheers to Team Freemasons for smashing it at the Round the Bays in Auckland on March 3rd, 2024! We're super proud to see our crew, over 100 strong, mixing it up with running, jogging, and walking โ€“ all while rocking those striking white Freemasons tees. ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ‘•

We were absolutely buzzing to see our team out there with 27,000 other folks! And the fun didn't end at the finish line. The Freemasons Marquee at Madills Farm was abuzz with energy as we displayed our medals, exchanged laughs, and savoured some well-earned refreshments, all thanks to the fantastic team led by our Grand Almoner, VW Bro. Jeff Mear. ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿน

This event's a brilliant way for us to show what we're all about โ€“ getting stuck in with the community, spreading the word about our charity work, and just having a great time with our Freemason mates and their families. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

Massive shoutout to everyone who was part of this โ€“ you are all amazing! We already can't wait to see what next year brings for the team.

๐ŸŒท Celebrating the Strength of Women on International Women's Day ๐ŸŒทPlease share post.

Here's to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.

Today, as we commemorate International Women's Day, Freemasons New Zealand pays homage to the incredible strength of women around us and across the globe. We celebrate the resilience, courage, and unwavering spirit of women who break barriers, overcome challenges, and inspire us all.

To the remarkable women in our livesโ€”the trailblazers, the carers, the leaders, and the visionariesโ€”we honour you. Your strength is the foundation of our families, our communities, and our society.

On this special day, we extend our deepest respect and gratitude to the women who enrich our lives. Our wives and partners truly help shape the hearth of any lodge, and may we always support and uplift as you do consistently for us.

Thank you, women, for your strength, your wisdom, and your love. Today, we celebrate you.
