Free SAND for Sand Bags!

Message from Donald Matheson Deputy Chair of the Trust -

Fulton Hogan’s Canterbury region has donated a truckload of sand to the community, which is very cool and generous of them. Big thanks especially to Nathan Peter their contract manager for the peninsula for organising the delivery.

The pile is by the recycling shed behind the village (access off Barclays Road).

The sand is for anyone in the community to use to fill sandbags. Dig in. We suggest you only fill bags just before using them as hessian ones will rot if left sitting outside and plastic ones will start doing their microplastic thing.

We can do another order of hessian bags if you’d like some.

NOTICE FROM COUNCIL
State Highway 75: A shoulder closure will be in place.
Western Valley Road: A shoulder closure will be in place along with a footpath closure near Little River Primary School. Temporary traffic lights will be in place for two days. No parking will be permitted where required for works to be completed.
Little River Domain Carpark: Temporary traffic lights or Stop/Go manual traffic control will be in place inside the carpark. All closures and restrictions will be clearly sign posted.
There may be times when vehicle access to properties is temporarily restricted. The contractor will door knock beforehand to allow residents to move vehicles if necessary. Please talk to the contractor about any specific access requirements as soon as possible before works commence.
The works may result in increased dust, noise and vibrations.
We will try to keep any disruption to a minimum, and we apologise in advance for any inconvenience.
If you require assistance, please see our on-site team.
Water supply to your property will be maintained, with a separate notice being given for the shut-off when
connecting to the new pipes.
