Bit of a different post from us this morning but wondering if we may be able to connect this awesome bit of history back with it's owner.
Found in Balclutha outside the shop across from the high school. Wondering if it may have come from one of Friday Nights ball cars. If anyone knows where it may belong flick us a msg and we will get you in touch with the right people - oh and Happy Mothers Day Mum's 💐

A heartfelt thank you to Kaitangata Car Show and Run for their recent donation to the Kaitangata Community Fund! Your support helps build a stronger, more vibrant Kai for generations to come. 💙

Clutha Foundation's Kaitangata Community Fund is a forever fund. Every dollar donated is invested and the income earned is distributed as community grants that benefit Kai, forever.

🎉The Kaitangata Car Show Committee are thrilled to announce that, after a very successful 2025, we have been able to disperse funds of $13,000 to our fund recipients as follows:

💲6,000 to Crescent Rugby Club Jubilee Committee
💲6,000 to Kaitangata Promotions
💲1,000 to the Clutha Foundation - Kai Community Fund.

🙋‍♀️Every year our fund recipients are the ones who step in and do the hard yards on the day, pulling everything together. Without this man power our event would not happen. We are always on the hunt for more community based groups that may have a need for the funds that can supply the required helpers.

👉🏻There are some terms and conditions. If your organisation could be keen please send us an email with details of your projects and the amount of volunteers you might be able to provide to [email protected] and we can discuss things further.

A fun filled family event in little ol' Kaitangata. Famous for its old coal mining history and amazing local camaraderie, why not come spend some time and see what they all rave about.

☀️How unbelievably good was it to be able to come together and enjoy ourselves in what has been some very trying times.

🖤Thank you all so much for coming - we have been blown away by the sheer volume of support and as always will be making further tweaks to continue to accomodate better. We really hope you all enjoyed your day.
🤍Thank you to all of our sponsors. We are so lucky to have so many that put their faith in us. They all do so much to help get this event off the ground and we simply would not be able to do it without them. It has been trying times and we have had to ask alot, every single one of you have come through for us when we needed it the most, we are so grateful.
🖤Thank you to all of our stall holders, our fund recipients, our friends and family that come and help for the love, the Kai community and every single other person that is in anyway involved with the Kaitangata Car Show & Run. ‼️Kai Car Show is at the RUGBY GROUNDS as per usual. ‼️(just to clear up any confusion)

👉🏻Many of you would have seen this notice in the local rag, and you will see it every year from here on out. This is for our new contingency plan if we ever have such issues as we had last year. This plan has to be actioned, at the VERY latest, 5 days before the event (this is even pushing it, there is alot of ground work to be done if this needs to come into play). We would let you know here and in our pre-reg msg if there was a change. We have not had to action this plan this year as the grounds are in good shape. The council has also had to give us clearance to use the grounds as there is a parks and reserves closure currently in place. There has been an arborist in to look at the situation and clear anything that needed done and South Roads have done an amazing job at the clean up of this, rebuilding the fence and also getting the fields in tip top shape.

🙏🏻We are actually very lucky after all the destruction, that we have amazing people in our corner that have worked so hard to keep us going this year. You will notice exactly what people are dealing with when you drive through tomorrow.

🎉🎉We are all go at Kai Car Show Central.

🤔 All of our pre-registered should have received a message over night with their registration details. If you did not provide a mobile number we will be in touch today by email. If you have not heard anything and think you pre-registered please message us here and we can look into what may have occurred. It has been a little messy transferring from one year to the other and as we all know s*%t can happen - just reply to your registration text if you need to change a car or your situations changed. This all helps the day run smoother.

👉🏻 You may wonder why our big sign isn't at the Kai turn off. The poor thing got a bit wind blown in the storm and with minimal time for repair and ex*****on we decided to keep it down and return it when freshly stickered up - it's frame is still sitting tall and pretty tho and we are very much all go 👍🏻

😃 Hoping to see alot of amazing costumes about on the grounds to, have you got your carload decked out yet?
