We are hosting a ‘Have a go day’ for Indoor bowls on the 27th of July and you are invited to come along to have some fun, learn how to play, and or be coached by experienced coaches. Also, if you have been thinking of volunteering for Indoor bowls, this is also a great opportunity to come and meet the indoor bowling community.

Tenpin bowling is back! We are bowling at Retrobowl which has had a big face-lift and a new name. Same time, same day, same place, just a new name and a very cool new look!

Our very second post goes to an amazing person who just happens to sit on our board. Not only that she coaches our Indoor Bowling Team and volunteers for Blind Low Vision NZ.

In her spare time (ahem) she is the Disability & Inclusion Advisor for YMCA-South and this happened a week or so ago...

Last night she received the YMCA Leading by Example award at the YMCA New Zealand Awards.
The award is for excellence in being mission driven and putting YMCA values into practice. Robyn Bye, our disability and inclusion advisor, consistently displays exemplary leadership in the area of inclusion, and embodies the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, responsibility, and respect. Robyn leads by example through creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities and inspires others to prioritise inclusion, empathy, and accessibility in every aspect of their work.
In short, she's amazing and we are soooo stoked she has won this award! Ka pai Robyn 👏👏👏

Well, wouldn't you know it?! Things took a funny turn and we lost our page. Where? Who would know...out into the ether 🤷‍♀️
