Thank you to Sharke (Chris) who organised the installation of new doors on our side rooms of our hall. These will mean our two groups hiring have a secure space for their gear, and it makes the hall look so much tidier.

Thank you to & Sons (Manawatu) who installed them for us. With each doorway slightly different in size, it was not a straightforward job but they completely nailed it 👌

Last weekend our youth took part in our Manawatu Horizons Zone Pinewood Derby 🚗🏎️🚓

The creativity was extraordinary, the excitement in the hall was next level, and to have such a large number of youth from all across the zone come together for such an event was incredible. We are so proud of all of our youth who took part with rankings in each race, and a large number of participants from our group.

Last Wednesday our Keas were lucky enough to have a building session at Bunnings Warehouse Palmerston North 🔨✈️ we are so grateful to have businesses like Bunnings Warehouse who support our Scout Groups all around Aotearoa providing activities such as this so that our youth get to experience building with real tools.

📣📣📣 Postponed due to illness 📣📣📣

Looking for a fun outdoor adventure for your 5–7 year old? ⛺️🧭🥾🚴‍♀️

This Sunday the Ashhurst Keas are heading out to Kitchener / Awahuri Forest Park for an afternoon of exploring, walking the boardwalks and discovering what we can find along the way!
They would love to have your child come along and enjoy the adventure with them!

Their amazing Kea section is currently quite small, and they’re hoping to grow it, so they’re inviting other local 5–7-year-olds to come along and see what Keas are all about.

There’s no need to already be a Scout member to join us for this adventure. It’s a great chance to meet our leaders, have some fun and see whether Keas might be something your child would enjoy.

Sunday 13 September
11am–2pm
$2 per youth
BYO picnic lunch

A caregiver is required to stay with their youth for the duration of this adventure. This gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy the day together while our new families get to know us. 😊

Send them a message if you'd like your child to come along! [email protected]

What an awesome time the Palmerston North Knights had spending time with the Hokowhitu Scout Group Keas!

Seeing the excitement, smiles and curiosity from the Keas was a reminder of what our community is all about; bringing people together, creating memories and inspiring the next generation.

It wasn't just about lightsabers. It's about friendship, courage, kindness and giving back to the community we call home.
A huge thank you to the Hokowhitu Keas for having us. We had an absolute blast, and we hope you did too!

From our Knight family to yours ,may the Force be with you!

Recently our Keas enjoyed an evening at the Lido taking part in a water safety session with their knowledgable team. They learnt about PFA’s (personal floatation devices), how to get out of a boat into water, how to huddle together, and how to stay safe in the water. We do this session each year with their team to reinforce this learning.
