What a dynamic group of people, this is Hastings Toastmasters club.
Bogdana chaired our meeting highlighting her skills as a group manager. We had 4 speeches including a inspiring speech from acting Area Director Ian.
Other speakers were Chandika, Jeannie and Gareth. Members were asked to review films for table topics.
We learn more in moments of fun and friendship.

⏸️ The Power of the Pause💥

Silence isn’t empty — it’s intentional.

In a world where words often rush ahead of meaning, a well-timed pause commands attention, projects confidence, and lets your message breathe.

✅ “A pause projects poise. It allows your message to sink in. It builds anticipation and emphasis. Members learn that silence isn’t awkward — it’s powerful.”

✅ “For speakers who want to truly connect, intentional silence is a more powerful alternative. A pause commands attention. It offers breathing space — for both speaker and listener.”

Mastering the pause isn’t about saying less — it’s about helping others feel more. Because sometimes,👉 the most powerful part of your speech is the silence that follows.
