In memory of the loss of a loved one.

Yellow Brick Road has been kindly considered by a family who has experienced the tragic loss of their mum just under a year ago. We are deeply sad this family experienced such profound loss, and acknowledge the significant loss other families experience through mental health and addictions challenges.

Just under a year ago, a beautiful mother, sister, wife, friend to many and member of a NZ community died from (suspected) su***de. Her family are absolutely determined other families should not go through their experience caring for her, and so tragically losing her. They are determined to do something.

One of the daughters has embarked on a fundraising event in Dunedin. She is studying Communications at Otago. Her event is called “Run For Mums” and the team at Yellow Brick Road are humbled to be the recipient of the fundraising.

See the givealittle link here.

We share this incredible "gift" opportunity to acknowledge the family's generosity, even in their immense grief. We are so grateful. Also to allow others the opportunity to gift to work that supports families during their hardest and most profound experiences in life.

Gaining Ground Programme - HAMILTON

Are you supporting someone with emotion dysregulation (ED)?

Gaining Ground is a free, six-week programme (two hours per week) for people who support someone with ED.
This programme starts on 30 September 2025.

If you want more understanding of what ED is and to learn some strategies and techniques to support your loved one, then we highly recommend this programme. Please note that your loved one does not need to have a diagnosis of ED or borderline personality disorder.

MAJOR CYCLE MISSION AND SUPPORT FOR YBR

Geoff Frances of Greytown is participating in a cycle race from one side of Australia to the other (5,500 kms) and is fundraising for Yellow Brick Road. This is a massive endeavour and we are very grateful that Geoff has chosen YBR as the beneficiary of his fundraising and physical efforts.

Check out Geoff's give-a-little page to read about his hard-core mission and if you can, to support for YBR. All donations are very much appreciated.
