NOTICE: We've been made aware in the week beginning 8th/Sept that the tank at Whangaehu hut has been drained. Until further notice anyone intending to visit or stay at the hut should be prepared to take additional water or at least gas for snow-melt until the rain/snow naturally tops up the tank in coming weeks. Will post back here when we have an update.
