We have a VERY special giveaway to announce!

We have one place, worth $965, on our upcoming five-day Gardening Masterclass to give to somebody who really wants these skills.

You will be here with us at Kōanga, learning both the why and the how of growing nutrient-dense food - working in the gardens, building soil and fertility, planning for food through the year, making compost, using ramial woodchip, biochar and liquid fertilisers, and getting your hands into the whole system.

We would especially love this place to go to someone who will take these skills home and share them with their family or community.

It’s a wrap! We’ve officially finished sowing the cleared land with cover crops to do all we can to improve soil structure, health and protect new natives from climate conditions across the next two years.

Untold thanks to Davenports Law for their partnership and investment in us since inception. They allow us to cloak Papatūānuku with healthy cover preventing plant pests from invading native Rakau and offering pollinators sanctuary. Manu love it too!

The Life NZ community spent their Saturday morning sowing cover crop seeds with thick compost from Untangled Landcapes who create a biome that is rich in nutrients, bacteria and mycelium to ensure plant growth and survival. Auckland Council Park Ranger Theo, helped to secure funds for land clearance and preparation with Healthy Waters.

We will be caring for this whenua for the next 5-10 years to ensure it reaches canopy cover in the best way possible.

Massive thanks to the stakeholders who have worked hard to clear another 1500m2 unused land to extend the regenerating ngāhere in Auckland City
