Pest Control Hui & Celebration - Tairāwhiti Environment Centre
Across the East Coast, many of us are tackling goats, deer, possums, rodents, cats and mustelids in our own ways - from backyard traps to large-scale catchment projects. This hui (hosted by the good folk at Tairāwhiti Environment Centre) is a chance to connect, share knowledge, and hear from some of the leading voices in pest control from around Aotearoa.
The Goods:
• When: Thursday 18 September 2025, 9–11am
• Where: Tairāwhiti Environment Centre
• Who for: Landowners, catchment and community groups, schools, iwi and hapū taiao groups, backyard trappers
What to Expect:
• Practical advice and the latest national insights on pest control
• Guest speakers including Graeme Atkins (Te Rimu), EcoWorks, Predator Free NZ Trust, NZ Auto Traps, Forest Lifeforce Restoration Trust, and more
• Kai provided and a special guest performance
• Time to connect with others working on the ground in Tairāwhiti
