Imitation is flattering, but no one - or their hat - can out-feather an original! 🪽🪽

Unfortunately, the beautiful Kōtuku plumage once made it a target for hunters and fashion, and back in 1941, only four Kōtuku nests were recorded!

Thankfully, protection and conservation have helped these taonga recover, but their survival still depends on us.
