Foxton Rugby Club Foxton Rugby Club is the oldest established club in the Horowhenua-Kapiti Union, having played actively since 1880.

At present the club fields two senior teams and seven junior teams. Per population it is the largest club in the union.

7 out of our 9 teams will be playing at Playford Park this Saturday, while our other 2 teams are kicking things off Friday afternoon at Easton Park 🌟

Please be careful around the area between the shed and the changing block. There is quite a bit of broken glass there. The team have swept it into a pile, but with the grass there could still be hidden pieces around, so please keep tamariki clear of the area where possible.

🚨 OUR CLUBROOMS WERE TARGETED 🚨

Last Saturday night, our clubrooms were broken into.

Not only was rugby equipment stolen, but there was also a baby shower set up for Sunday β€” and presents, food, and supplies meant for a growing family were taken too. πŸ’”

This club is built by volunteers, families, players, parents, and good people who give their time and energy to support our community. To target a local club and steal from a baby shower is incredibly disappointing and upsetting for everyone involved.

A massive thank you to the Police for responding quickly, coming out to fingerprint the scene, and supporting us through it all πŸ‘

Also huge thanks to Possum Parker @ Cozy NZ for helping relay and secure the door so quickly β€” your support means a lot to our club and community. πŸ”¨β€οΈ

But if there’s one thing about this club and this community β€” we stick together. πŸ’ͺπŸ‰
