🐾 Dog Training Workshop with Lloyd Smith 🐾

B+LNZ is happy to be partnering with Farmfirst Veterinary and Black Hawk to bring you an afternoon of practical, hands-on dog training with one of New Zealand's most respected dog trialists, Lloyd Smith.

⚠️ Please note: Registrations for Lake Coleridge have now reached capacity. There are still a few spots available for the Willesden workshop, but numbers are limited.

Lloyd will share his insights on dog handling, stock sense, clear communication, and building confidence in working dogs.

📍 Lake Coleridge | 23 September | 10:30am - 3:00pm
📍 Willesden | 25 September | 10:30am - 3:00pm

🐾 Please leave your own dogs at home so Lloyd can safely demonstrate training techniques.

🔥 BBQ lunch provided.

For any North Cantabrian's at a loose end Thursday afternoon 20th August, Amuri Lime are hosting an event exploring the benefits of lime to soil health, animal health & farm profitability.

I will be presenting the direct animal health benefits when there is a strong focus on soil calcium outside the so called 'optimal pH' & breaking down our 'silo thinking' between soil & animal sciences.

It’s official, we’re back! 🦌

After a great first event in 2024, the SCNO Young Deer Farmer Competition is returning to Peel Forest Estate on Friday 9 October 2026.

It’s a chance for young people in the deer industry to put their practical skills and knowledge to the test, meet others in the industry and have a bloody good day while they’re at it. And, if you don’t know, learn something from the professionals!

Whether you competed last time or are keen to give it a crack for the first time, keep an eye on this page. Entries will be opening soon, with more details to come!

Tag someone who should get amongst it

We would love to hear your feedback from the event. Even if you didn't attend, your input would be much appreciated so we can continue improving the events we hold. The survey is only 4 questions long, and will take just 5-minutes to complete. It is completely anonymous, so please answer as honestly as you like.
