How Boosted Works:

We exist to make art happen. With its tailored mentorship programme, Boosted works alongside artists and creatives to set their crowdfunding journey up for success. Boosted is what you call an all-or-nothing crowdfunding platform. When the project hits its financial target within the set time limit, the artist gets the money (less our 10% admin fee to help keep the site running

) and the Boosters get a tax credit (33% for donations $5 and up) - and that warm feeling that only comes from helping someone challenge our thinking through creating art. Along the way, Boosted gives backers the opportunity to get involved with the art as its made, too… so expect to hear about rehearsals, studio visits and all sorts of other experiences from the projects you choose to Boost. And if the project doesn't hit its target in time? That doesn't happen often, but we return your donation (with no fees charged) and we see how we can help the artist to give it another go. Boosting a project is easy. Pop over to the Boosted website, choose a project and click to DONATE. Donations can be made anonymously, but we'd like to think that seeing your name and smiling face next to a project will make people want to join you in supporting it. Whether you choose to fly below the radar or not, the amount you choose to donate will never be published.

Pasifika Echoes in Opera.

Founded by Ridge Ponini a Cook Islands artist returning home while preparing for advanced training at the National Opera Studio in London, this campaign seeks to bridge local communities with global opportunities through the power of music.

Rooted in Rarotonga, the project combines education, performance, and cultural connection to create meaningful opportunities for young people to explore the world of opera and classical music. Through school workshops, students will gain hands-on experience in vocal performance, music theory, and creative expression while learning about the many pathways available within the arts.

The initiative will culminate in a special community concert celebrating Pacific storytelling through song, showcasing local talent alongside internationally trained artistry.

At a time when Pacific representation on international stages continues to grow, Pasifika Echoes in Opera demonstrates that world-class artistry can emerge from even the smallest islands. The project encourages young Pasifika people to dream boldly, embrace their cultural identity, and recognise the value of their unique voices.

Every contribution helps strengthen arts education, support cultural exchange, and create opportunities for future generations of Pacific performers.

🎼🌺 PASIFIKA ECHOES IN OPERA 🌺🎼

Pasifika Echoes in Opera is a community-focused initiative based in Rarotonga that celebrates and elevates Pacific Island voices through opera and classical music.

Created by a Cook Islands artist preparing to continue their professional training at the National Opera Studio in London, the project is both a homecoming and a commitment to giving back to the community that helped shape their journey.

At its heart, Pasifika Echoes in Opera is about creating access, inspiration, and opportunity for the next generation of Pacific artists.

Through workshops in local schools, students will be introduced to music theory, vocal technique, performance skills, and the diverse career pathways available within the music industry. The programme aims to nurture confidence, expand horizons, and demonstrate that Pacific voices belong on the world's stages.

Alongside the educational programme, the initiative will culminate in a special concert in Rarotonga a celebration of Pacific storytelling through opera and classical performance. The event will showcase local talent while highlighting the beauty, strength, and uniqueness of Pacific cultures.

As Pacific artists continue to make their mark internationally, projects like Pasifika Echoes in Opera ensure that cultural identity remains at the centre of that journey, creating pathways for future generations to dream bigger and reach further.

By supporting this initiative, supporters help invest in education, artistic development, and the future of Pacific storytelling through music.

🎬✨ MEN OF LIGHT ✨🎬

Men of Light is a thriller-drama short film currently in production, written and directed by social media heavyweight Simeon "Ucegang" Fiapule in his directorial debut and produced by Regan Foa'i, the creator behind "The 9to5ers" and "The School Repeaters".

Already backed by Day One Shorts, the project is now inviting the community to help bring this bold Pacific story to the screen through its Moana Boosted campaign.

More than just a film, Men of Light is a love letter to the Pacific. It explores stories and perspectives that are rarely seen through a Pasifika lens, offering something fresh, authentic, and unapologetically rooted in the communities that inspired it.

Every contribution helps the production team secure the resources needed to complete the film and realise its full creative vision.

🎥 Pacific stories.
🌊 Pacific voices.

THE VAKA IS READY. ⛵️🌊✨
NOW IT’S TIME TO SET SAIL!

Today, we’re launching a community-powered crowdfunding campaign to help bring talented Pasifika performing artists from across Aotearoa to Ōtautahi; however, this journey depends on all of us.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 through community support. If we reach that target, .nz will match every dollar raised, helping us unlock a total of $10,000 for this kaupapa.

This is an all-or-nothing campaign.
If we don’t reach our target, we don’t receive the funding towards this project.

Every donation, every share, and every comment helps move this vaka forward.
Together, we can celebrate our culture, support our artists, and create something special for Christchurch.

🌺 Donate if you can
🤝 Share with your whānau and friends
💬 Comment with your island flag or where you’re supporting from

The destination is clear.
The journey starts today.

🌊🔥 E OLA MAU 🔥🌺

E OLA MAU is a landmark cultural exchange bringing together world-class practitioners of Hula, Siva Afi, and Kapa Haka in Te Tai Tokerau.

Through wānanga, traditional storytelling, kanikapila, performances, and intergenerational learning, the project creates opportunities for Indigenous knowledge sharing across the Pacific. Grounded in the understanding that the ocean does not divide Pacific peoples but connects them, E OLA MAU celebrates the ancestral relationships that link Aotearoa, Samoa, and Hawaiʻi.

The programme will provide Northland communities and schools with rare access to internationally respected cultural practitioners, offering hands-on learning experiences that explore movement, language, history, and identity.

Participants will experience:
🔥 High-energy Siva Afi performances
🌺 Authentic Hula demonstrations and workshops
🖤 Kapa Haka cultural exchange opportunities
🌊 Indigenous storytelling and Pacific navigation narratives
🤝 Meaningful whakawhanaungatanga between local and international artists

By supporting E OLA MAU, donors help create opportunities for rangatahi to connect with living cultural traditions, strengthen their sense of identity, and recognise their place within the wider Pacific family.

🎶 From Aotearoa to the world stage. 🌏

This July, 31 talented young Pasifika performers from Bishop Viard College's NIU Choir will travel to Sydney to represent their school, their families, and Aotearoa at the 2026 Australian International Music Festival.

Performing at the iconic Sydney Opera House and Verbrugghen Hall, these rangatahi will share their voices and culture with international audiences while learning alongside some of the world's leading youth ensembles.

This journey is about more than music. It is about creating opportunities, building confidence, celebrating identity, and showing our young people that their stories deserve to be heard on the biggest stages.

To help make this opportunity possible, the NIU Choir is working to raise $20,000 towards travel and participation costs.

Every donation helps invest in the future of our rangatahi and supports them as they proudly carry our communities onto the world stage.

🎶🌏 Help the NIU Choir Reach the World Stage! 🌏🎶

The NIU Choir from Bishop Viard College is preparing for the opportunity of a lifetime — representing their community, their culture, and Aotearoa New Zealand at the 2026 Australian International Music Festival in Sydney.

From 5–12 July 2026, 31 talented Pasifika young people (aged 12–18) will perform at the world-renowned Sydney Opera House and Verbrugghen Hall, taking part in adjudicated performances and professional workshops alongside some of the finest youth ensembles from around the globe.

This tour is the culmination of years of dedication, talent, and hard work, guided by the BVC MPPA (Music, Performing Arts, Pasifika) Vision. More than a performance opportunity, this experience will provide our rangatahi with a global platform to share their artistry while being supported through Bishop Viard College’s unique Whānau Lead model, ensuring their cultural and spiritual wellbeing throughout the journey.

To make this dream a reality, the NIU Choir is aiming to raise $20,000 to help cover travel, accommodation, festival participation costs, and other essential expenses.

Every contribution, big or small, helps invest in the future of our young creatives and supports them to proudly carry the stories, voices, and cultures of our communities onto the international stage.
