The Pod - saving Māui and Hector's dolphins THE POD is a NZ-based NGO dedicated to the protection of our endemic dolphin - the Hector’s & Māui. We owe it to this country, and to the World.

Endemic to New Zealand, the Māui and Hector’s dolphins are the smallest and one of the rarest oceanic dolphin species. With as little as 20 breeding females remaining, the Māui Needs urgent protections. This page documents independent research and actions to save the species, both from NZ and from around the world.
