๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ Every big achievement starts with a single step. ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Following on from their Meet the Mentor Workshop and Goal Setting Workshop, our Te Aratai College Project K cohort has officially signed up for the Move Mountains challenge! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Together with their mentors, these young people are stepping up to take on a challenge that is about so much more than fitness. It's about commitment, courage, resilience, and discovering what can be achieved when you believe in yourself and lean on the support of those around you.

Over the coming weeks, our students will be working towards their goals, encouraging one another, and proving that even the biggest mountains can be conquered one step at a time.

We're excited to watch their journey unfold and celebrate the milestones along the way. ๐Ÿ’š

One conversation. One challenge. One legacy that continues to change lives across Aotearoa. ๐Ÿ’š

When Sir Graeme Di**le was just 25 years old, a conversation with his friend Jill Tremain shifted his thinking forever:
โ€œLife is a cup to be filled, not a measure to be drained.โ€

That whakaaro became the foundation of everything that followed โ€” inspiring programmes that now support thousands of young people to build confidence, resilience, connection and belief in themselves.

Here in Canterbury, we see the impact of that legacy every single day through the young people, schools, mentors, whฤnau and communities we work alongside.

Now itโ€™s our turn to help Move Mountains for Youth.

Whether you donate, take on a challenge, or simply help spread the word, every bit of support helps young people realise their potential.

Theyโ€™re popping up across Christchurch and helping spread the message about supporting young people to build confidence, resilience, and life skills through the Graeme Di**le Foundation.

Weโ€™d love to know where youโ€™ve seen them out and about! Snap a photo and tag us if you spot one ๐Ÿ“ธ

Exciting changes are happening!

As we continue to grow across the South Island, our page is evolving too. Going forward, this page will also showcase the incredible work happening in Queenstown at Wakatipu High School and our community partnerships.

We know there are so many amazing stories, young people, schools, mentors, and community organisations making a difference, and we want one shared space where everyone can stay connected, celebrate successes, and see the impact happening across our regions. Welcome to our wider community as we continue to grow together.

To kick things off, last Friday we held our STARS Community Adventure Day at Wakatipu High School and what a fantastc morning!

It was awesome to see such strong engagement from local organisations and young people, with students asking important questions, making connections, and learning more about the many ways community organisations can support them both now and into the future.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success. Weโ€™re excited for whatโ€™s ahead and look forward to sharing more stories from Queenstown and beyond!

Spencer is proof that young people can move mountains ๐Ÿ’š

As a Project K alumni, Spencer says the Graeme Di**le Foundation helped him build confidence, resilience and belief in himself during one of the toughest times in his life.

Today, heโ€™s a business owner, mentor, and someone passionate about giving back to his community ๐Ÿ’ˆ

Now heโ€™s backing Move Mountains for Youth โ€” helping more young people across Aotearoa access life-changing opportunities.

Every donation helps a young person overcome the mountain in front of them.

Not all mountains are on maps.

For many young people, the hardest climbs are the ones we canโ€™t always see โ€” self-belief, confidence, connection and resilience.

Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re so grateful for the support of our long-standing Champion Partner, Kathmandu who continues to help young people across Aotearoa build the skills and confidence to thrive.

As part of Move Mountains for Youth, anyone who signs up to take on a challenge will go in the draw to win a Kathmandu prize pack valued at $500, including outdoor gear and essentials to support your own adventure.

Every step you take helps support tamariki and rangatahi in Graeme Di**le Foundation programmes across New Zealand.

Meet Sasha ๐Ÿ’š

Sasha is a proud Project K alumni from Hornby High School who is now taking on our Move Mountains challenge to help more young people experience the life-changing impact of programmes like Project K.

Sheโ€™s stepping up, pushing herself outside her comfort zone, and giving back so other rangatahi can build confidence, resilience and belief in themselves too.

Weโ€™d love your support! Every donation, big or small, helps Sasha get closer to her goal and helps us continue supporting young people across our community.

Please jump on, donate to Sashaโ€™s page, and cheer her on as she takes on this awesome challenge! โ›ฐ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘
