Neveah Ruby Tigerlily, aka Ruby, attended her first show yesterday, and she had a wonderful time. Ruby won the RBIS trophy in the Entire Kitten ring. Ruby is a natural show cat and loved all the attention she received at the show.

Update: Sam has found a wonderful home. Thank you all for your help
Hi Everyone, Sam, a 7-year-old male seal-point siamese, who recently lost his human mum, is looking for a new home. He is neutered, microchipped, and has recently had his annual vaccinations updated. At his recent vet visit, he received a clean bill of health. He is a very friendly and affectionate boy. He is currently in Christchurch and would love to find a new family. He has not been around any dogs, so a dog-free home would be best for him. Please contact Kim on 02102948640 if you can offer Sam a loving home. Please feel free to share this post.

Dear Valued NZSCA Committee Members,
As we reflect on the past year, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for everyone of you. To our dedicated returning members and enthusiastic newcomers alike: thank you. Your unwavering commitment to the New Zealand Siamese Cat Association is nothing short of inspiring.
Though 2024 began with unexpected challenges—illness and unforeseen delays—we rallied together as a team, proving that our shared passion and resilience can overcome any hurdle.
The results we’ve achieved this year are a testament to the heart and soul you pour into this Association.
A special thank you must go to my incredible wife, Kim, our Secretary and Treasurer. Kim, your meticulous work behind the scenes—juggling schedules, finances, and my occasional scatterbrained moments—keeps this ship sailing smoothly. This Association simply wouldn’t thrive without you. You are the glue that holds us all together, and your efforts are nothing short of extraordinary.
To all our fundraising champions, your tireless energy and creativity continue to amaze me. I know it’s no small feat (especially as we all feel those “golden years” creeping up!), but every event, Sausage Sizzle, and Raffles bring us closer to our goals. Your hard work
ensures our beloved Siamese cats—and their enthusiasts—receive the support they deserve.
And to Angela, our newly appointed Vice President: You and the dynamic team of your support Group have breathed fresh energy into the NZSCA. Your innovative ideas and infectious enthusiasm have elevated our Club in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Thank you for stepping up and leading with such grace!
Additionally, a huge thanks goes to Nellie for her generous financial contribution to the Cat Club. Although it was unexpected, it is deeply appreciated.
As we look ahead, let’s take a moment to enjoy the calm before our next fundraising season kicks off in September 2025. In the meantime, let’s channel our energy into the July Cat
Show—an event poised to become the crown jewel of the South Island’s feline calendar!
With your dedication, I have no doubt we’ll shine brighter than ever.
If I’ve missed mentioning anyone by name, please know your contributions are deeply valued. Every role on this committee—big or small—is vital. Together, we are a family united by our love for these majestic cats and the community we serve. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making the NZSCA a beacon of passion, teamwork, and joy. Here’s to celebrating our wins, embracing the challenges ahead, and continuing to make magic happen—one paw at a time.
With warmest regards and endless appreciation,
David Oberholzer
President, NZSCA
(and a very proud husband to Kim!)

Dear Supporters of the New Zealand Siamese Cat Association,

We hope this message finds you well. Firstly, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your continuous support and understanding.

Back in Late December, we started a raffle for a BBQ set, including a gas bottle, to raise funds for our association. Unfortunately, since early January, we have faced unexpected and serious medical and other events affecting some of our committee members. These unforeseen circumstances have delayed our efforts to organize another event and complete the raffle.

We sincerely apologize for the delay in informing you about the situation and for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please rest assured that we are doing our utmost to resolve this issue and will endeavor to complete the raffle as soon as humanly possible.

Your understanding and patience during these challenging times mean a great deal to us. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to bringing this raffle to a successful conclusion.

Warm regards, The Committee, New Zealand Siamese Cat Association

Update: Jose & Rosita would like to thank everyone who offered to take them. Joan's wish was for them to stay together and be the only pets, which is exactly the home they now have.

Can you help rehome these orphan siamese cats? Photos are here of Jose (Male) and Rosita (female). Their owner, a 102 year old lady called Joan, wanted them to be rehomed together if possible, after her death. She died about 2 weeks ago. We don’t know if they have pedigree papers and doubt we would find these anytime soon, but we believe that the cats are pedigree. they are getting anxious so we’d like them rehomed asap. They are about 13 years old, fully vaccinated etc., vet is Colin Hill at Remuera vets in Auckland. Perhaps we should cover nationwide, as they can be sent somewhere other than Auckland to a loving owner of course.
