All is so Good in the Hood today - if you made your one little token make a difference for Delta - THANK YOU.

We were thrilled to head to Z Shirley today to be presented with our certificate for the wonderful sum of $1313 – Thank you Hana and the whole Z Shirley team. Our share of the 'Good in the Hood' promotion will be used to further support the Thursday Kai Club.

This is - a place where whānau can come for good kai, connection and belonging.

Because when life is tough, having somewhere to go, people to connect with, and a table where you are welcome matters.
And we know life is tough for many families.

In Aotearoa, 1 in 5 children live in households where food runs out sometimes or often.

That’s why food security is an important part of Thursday Kai Club — and why kids under 12 eat free. We want good, nutritious kai to be accessible to every whānau.

But it’s about more than food. It’s about sitting around a table. It’s about meeting people. It’s about children feeling included. It’s about whānau having somewhere they can belong.
That’s community. And that’s Delta.

Thanks to Z Energy’s Good in the Hood, we’ve been given the opportunity to shine a light on the incredible mahi happening every Thursday at Delta.

Every Thursday we want to help create good connection, kai and whānau time around the table and feeding kids 12 and under for free is part of this.
This Thursday we are throwing in something super special that we have been gifted - check out this super good looking' Chocy Fish Fudge' - these too will be free for each child who dines in at Delta.

Come enjoy some Kiwi classics as Sandy cooks up a storm for her last evening with the Thursday Kai Club. Dinner served from 5 to 6:30pm. Takeaway meals available. What else can you find to beat a roast lamb meal for just $10.

Love food and cooking? Want to volunteer and give back to your community?
The Thursday Kai Club is sad to lose kitchen lead Sandy, but it opens up a wonderful opportunity for an experienced cook and kitchen leader to step in each Thursday to cook kai with love and care for our wider community. A typical Thursday would start around 2pm and you will be done by 8pm latest. There is an incredible and experienced volunteer team in place to support you. This is a personal message from chef Sandy.
"This Thursday Kai Club will be my last cooking for you. It's with a heavy heart that I leave Delta and move onto life's next adventure. I have LOVED connecting with everyone who joins us at the Thursday evening community meal.
Come join me as I cook up one final storm with some Kiwi favourites, roast lamb and pavlova. And I will also challenge everything you know about pizza, creating a chocolate and cookie crumb version.
I hope to see you one last time. Bring the family and enjoy Kai cooked with aroha."
