🏮 What a Wonderful Night at the Brayshaw Heritage Park Night Market! 🏮

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported the Marlborough Chinese Community at the Night Market on Friday, 25 September 2026! ❤️

It was such a successful and vibrant evening, and our stall was incredibly busy! We would especially like to give a BIG thank you to all our amazing volunteers. 🙏 Without your time, energy and teamwork, our stall simply wouldn’t have been able to cope with the crowds!

A special thank you also goes to one of our committee members, Jerry Wang, who worked as the Project Coordinator in collaboration with the Marlborough Multicultural Centre. Jerry worked hard behind the scenes to help prepare and coordinate everything for the Night Market. Your dedication and support helped make the event run smoothly. 👏

It was wonderful to see our community members coming together, working side by side and supporting one another. The team was led by Zhang Xuemei, Vice President and Founder of the Marlborough Chinese Community, whose dedication and leadership continue to bring our community together. 🌸

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Matilde, Manager of the Marlborough Multicultural Centre, for organising such a vibrant, colourful and diverse Night Market for our community. It was fantastic to see so many cultures, people and local organisations coming together to celebrate diversity. 🌏❤️

Thank you to everyone who visited our stall, supported us, had a chat and helped make the evening so memorable. Your support means so much to us!

🌸 Sharing Culture, Heritage & Joy Through Performance 🌸

On 28 September 2026, performers from the Marlborough Chinese Community had the pleasure of visiting the Alzheimers Marlborough to share our Chinese culture and heritage through music, dance and song. ❤️

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with smiles, beautiful performances and cultural connection.

✨ Our programme included:
🦁 Lion dance and percussion team by our Children’s Group
💃 Three beautiful dance performances presented by our Children’s Group, Youth Group and Happy Bird Dance Group
🎤 Singing performance by our talented Youth Group
🎶 Singing performance by our Chinese Melody Choir
🎙️ And our programme was warmly hosted by Emcee Louis Baker

A heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful performers, families, volunteers and supporters who gave their time and energy to make this performance possible. Your enthusiasm and dedication help us continue to preserve, celebrate and share Chinese culture and heritage with our wider Marlborough community. 🇨🇳❤️🇳🇿

We were so grateful for the warm welcome from the Alzheimers Marlborough and for the opportunity to bring a little music, culture and happiness to everyone.

🌕 What a wonderful Mid-Autumn Festival celebration! 🌕

We had a lovely time making mooncakes, enjoying performances, and watching the children have fun with crafts. It was a warm and joyful evening filled with laughter, food, and community spirit. 🥮❤️

🌸 Sharing the Beauty of Chinese Culture at Bethsaida Retirement Village 🌸

Today, members of the Marlborough Chinese Community had the pleasure of performing at Bethsaida Retirement Village for the wonderful residents.

Our programme featured a variety of traditional Chinese cultural performances and activities, including graceful dances, melody songs, Chinese calligraphy and fan lacquered painting. It was a joy to see so many smiling faces, warm applause, and enthusiastic participation from the audience.

We hope our performances brought happiness, cultural appreciation, and a memorable experience to everyone.

A heartfelt thank you to Bethsaida Retirement Village for your kind invitation and warm hospitality. It was an honour to spend the morning with your residents, and we look forward to visiting again in the future.
