Ni sa bula vinaka, and Happy Fiji Day!

56 years ago today, Fiji became an independent nation. Today we celebrate its people, its rich cultures, and the spirit of unity, resilience and community that makes Fiji so special.

For Worthy, that spirit is deeply personal.

Our story began in Fiji in 1960, when DK Patel laid the foundations of our family business. It was built on values that remain close to our hearts: respect for people, care for the community, and the belief that we achieve more when we work together.

In iTaukei culture, this spirit is known as solesolevaki: coming together for the good of the community.

More than six decades later, those same values still guide us. They’re in how we look after our people, build lasting partnerships and serve the communities we’re part of.

Fiji gave us more than our beginning. It helped shape who we are and the values we carry forward.

Vinaka vakalevu, Fiji, for being such an important part of our story.
