Calling CHOREOGRAPHERS - 2026 Artist in Residence opportunity

This residency is for:
• ‘nature needing’ artists – it’s a parks-based residency
• artists working in any medium
• new, site inspired/responsive work
• an 8 week time frame – from Oct- Nov 2026

The beachside bach accommodation at Scandrett Regional Park is free and a weekly artist’s fee is provided for expenses, materials, equipment etc.

Spotlight on Strawberry Baby ✨

We’re so proud to share about Strawberry Baby, a bold and tender new solo dance work created and performed by Fiona Saunders showing at Basement Theatre from 20–23 August.

Fiona has been a valued member of the production team at YouDance over the past few years, and it’s a joy to see her bringing this deeply personal, creative work to the stage.

Northern Dance Network warmly invites the dance community to our Annual General Meeting. This is a chance for all NDN members and the wider dance community to come together, share your voice, and help shape the future of our network. Please see the details below:

Date: Tuesday 26th November
Time: Start – 6:30 pm / Finish – 7:00 pm (approx.), followed by refreshments
Venue: The Dance Studio (Studio One), 15 Morningside Drive

The ASPiRE show on October 13th— this year proudly part of the Tempo Dance Festival ✨was an incredible celebration of creative ageing. Over 80 performers, spanning 13 unique dances, proved that age is no barrier to captivating a full house at Q’s Rangatira Theatre.

A huge thank you to Tempo Dance Festival NZ for including ASPiRE in this year’s festival. What a wonderful afternoon! 🕺💃
