Looking for a fun school holiday activity? ๐Ÿšฒโœจ

Give your bike a colourful makeover with these easy DIY handlebar streamers! All you need is some ribbon, a hair tie and a few minutes to create your own. It's a simple craft that's perfect for little hands.

Remember to keep your streamers short enough that they can't get caught in the wheel.

Save this tutorial so you've got it ready for your next craft day!

Love bikes, storytelling and social media? ๐Ÿšฒ

We're looking for a Social Media & Communications Coordinator to help keep our Bike Hubs visible, connected and thriving.

This 12-month fixed-term role (15 hours per week) is perfect for someone who enjoys creating engaging content, building community connections, and sharing the stories that make Auckland's Bike Hubs so special.

You'll spend much of your time managing and growing our Bike Hub pages, creating photos, videos and content from across the network, while also supporting communications for our wider active and sustainable transport initiatives.

Based partly at our New Lynn office, with opportunities to visit Bike Hubs and capture content around Auckland.

๐Ÿ“… Applications close Friday 3 July.

On the weekend, our Hub was the starting point for a community ride organised by Bike Pals "your friendly gaybourhood Bike Pals", a queer-focused space for all bodies on bikes. Our new assistant Tycho is heavily involved with the group, which helps fellow qu**rs get cycling, build confidence and make connections through fun bike-based activities.

The ride looped through the city centre, taking in pathways through the Domain and the Westhaven Boardwalk, with Auckland putting on a stunning display of autumn colours along the way.

Several riders were fairly new to cycling, making it a great opportunity to discover safe routes around the city, build confidence, and enjoy riding together in a supportive environment.

Awesome to see community groups creating welcoming spaces that help more people experience the joy and freedom of cycling! ๐Ÿšด๐Ÿ’™

Weโ€™re excited to introduce Griffin Campbell, the new Coordinator at the Hub.

Griffin is a passionate cyclist, an experienced bike mechanic, and someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people. Before joining the Bike Hubs team, he worked at T-Whites Bike Shop and spent time working at bike markets and pop-up events, experiences he loved for the opportunity to share his knowledge and help more people get riding.

When heโ€™s not at the Hub, Griffin can often be found restoring bikes from his garage. You can check out some of his restoration work at on Instagram.

Be sure to pop in and say hello next time you're at Queens Wharf. Welcome to the team, Griffin! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿšฒ๐Ÿ˜„

Nothing beats hearing from happy riders in our community ๐Ÿšฒ

"Had such a pleasure meeting everyone at the bike hub today, they are so helpful ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜Š and willing to fix anything they can do, so if you are experiencing problems with your bike and you far from home just pop in and I'm sure they will be willing to help ๐Ÿ˜€" - Adi
