We’re excited to introduce Griffin Campbell, the new Coordinator at the Hub.

Griffin is a passionate cyclist, an experienced bike mechanic, and someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people. Before joining the Bike Hubs team, he worked at T-Whites Bike Shop and spent time working at bike markets and pop-up events, experiences he loved for the opportunity to share his knowledge and help more people get riding.

When he’s not at the Hub, Griffin can often be found restoring bikes from his garage. You can check out some of his restoration work at on Instagram.

Be sure to pop in and say hello next time you're at Queens Wharf. Welcome to the team, Griffin! 👋🚲😄

We spent March running bike hub pop-ups at University of Auckland and AUT, connecting with more than 750 students and chatting all things cycling 🚲

Funded by Auckland Transport, these activations brought free bike checks and plenty of time to talk through how students could get riding more often. It was awesome seeing how many students are keen to cycle and getting stuck into the conversation, with some even telling us they’d already started riding to uni after getting support from the team.

We also had a great flow-on from the pop-ups back at the bike hub, with lots of students stopping in to take things further and get on a bike of their own.

Thanks to everyone who came and had a chat with us last month, we loved it! 💙 🚲

Nothing beats learning new skills in a space that feels welcoming, supportive, and genuinely fun 🚲💛

Last session at Bike Hub Queen’s Wharf brought together an awesome group of women, trans, and q***r riders getting hands-on with their bikes, building confidence, and connecting with each other along the way.

And we’re not done yet…

This Saturday, join Zara (they/them) for the third and last workshop in our Cycle Maintenance 101 series for WTQ participants.

This time we’re diving into Shifter Issues, helping you bring ease back to your rides and feel more in control of your bike.

In this hands-on session, we'll guide you through:
• safety checking your bike
• troubleshooting gear shifting problems
• tuning front and rear derailleurs

These workshops are beginner-friendly (with a little prior tinkering experience helpful for this one), and designed to build your confidence.

As always, you’re welcome to stay afterward to connect and chat with others.
