We've been overwhelmed with your feedback about Lightfields, and are delighted that thousands of people - from within Stonefields and beyond - were able to enjoy it. What an incredible spectacle for our community! But we'd like to say thank you to you, too. Crowds were happy and well-behaved, and the Wetlands were left just as you found them. Thank you!

One of the delights of Lightfields has been the thousands of stunning photos and videos it’s inspired. Maungarei Springs Wetlands was a truly stunning backdrop for this lighting spectacle.

We’d like to showcase the work of some of our own local photographers who took on the assignment of documenting Lightfields for us.

Thanks to Matt Maingay, Sandy Millar, Mary Du, George Phillips and Jason Tan for the time and aroha you put into this project.

Well, that’s a wrap! Lightfields: Maungarei is over but we’ve got a video memento so you can enjoy it all over again, and show your friends what they missed. Thanks to Matt Maingay and Jason Tan for this trip down Lightfields fantasitc memory lane.

But wait! There’s more... If you (or your kids) fell for the giant glowing POPS characters at the wetlands, good news! They're getting their own show in the city. From 25 September to 11 October, the POPS will take over Aotea Square as part of Auckland Live We The Young festival. So exciting to see the progress on the installation for the inaugural Lightfields event, starting this week. This is a free community event, so grab your family or a friend, and join in the fun. Just 7 sleeps to go until Lightfields, our Stonefields lighting spectacular! If you haven’t already, please book your FREE tickets (and get your friends to do the same). Some timeslots are getting close to capacity so get in now to secure your preferred time slot.

Here are a few tips to help everything run smoothly:

** Book your FREE tickets to Lightfields here: https://events.humanitix.com/lightfields. Reserving free tickets for you and your guests assists our planning and the smooth running of Lightfields.
** Lightfields is a walk-in event. To minimise disruption to our suburb, for out-of-suburb visitors we have arranged parking at Stoneridge Lunn Ave, Stonefields Market and Auckland Netball Centre which also has a FREE BUS to the Lightfields entrance (Wetlands boardwalk). Check our Lightfields web page or the Lightfields ticketing page for more details.
** No food trucks but FABULOUS EATERIES nearby for you and your guests! Why not make a night of it? And support our local businesses while you’re at it - Stonefields Market and Stoneridge on Lunn have made their parking available and offer great dine-in and takeaway options. Check our Lightfields web page or the Lightfields ticketing page for more details.
** Guest parking: Please arrange for friends to park on your property, or perhaps collect them from one of the nearby car parks. There will be signs up for the duration of Lightfields: “Residents Parking Only 5:00pm-10:00pm".
** Event build-up. Our contractors will be at work on-site from this Monday 17 August with break-down Monday 24 August. We will work hard to minimise any disruption.

** SHOUT-OUTS! We have been able to make Lightfields a completely free family event because of the incredible generosity of our sponsors. PLEASE THANK THEM BY SUPPORTING THEM.

It’s here! Stonefields Little Library is now open for business. It’s located at the Stonefields Market, just at the side of Charlie & George Cafe – so grab a book and a coffee and you have the perfect excuse for a bit of Me Time!

A huge thanks to the team that made this little beauty possible. SRA’s own Christine Goodey for steering this project from idea to reality; Amanda Lockyer and Margaret Voyce from the Ōrākei Local Board whose generous grant made this community asset possible; and Steve and Paul, our brilliant craftsmen from the Men’s Shed East who did such a great job of designing and building it.

The stand is in place ... Just awaiting the finishing touches to our Stonefields Little Library and it will be installed. Not long now!
