Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'oon (Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Habiban Adam - the mother of Hazet, Naushad and Nazaff Adam, grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 17 and known to all as 'Dadi'. After migrating from Fiji to NZ in the 80s, Habiban has been a pillar in our Wellington community for many decades.

The janazah will be held today, 25 September 2026 straight after Jummah prayer.

Address: 7-11 Queens Drive, Kilbirnie (Kilbirnie masjid), Wellington
Janazah time: After Jummah (1.30 pm)

Burial: Makara cemetary 2.45pm

The family will be at the Kilbirnie masjid from 11am prior to the prayer for all those who wish to pay their final respects and duas.

We will depart for Makara cemetery after the Janazah prayer for the burial. Please make every effort to attend.

We pray Allah grants her jannatul firdous and makes her grave a garden from the gardens of paradise, Aameen.

Habiban is the grandmother of Aneesa, Jasim, Zeenah, Nabil, Khalid, Ayshia, Ishraaq, Faazilah, Shula and Ra'eef. Mother in law to Leila Adam and Feroza Adam.
