Motorsport doesn't happen by itself.

Behind every event are volunteers giving up their weekends, travelling to circuits, supporting both competitors and fellow volunteers, and doing countless jobs that often go unseen.

This June, we're giving a big shout out to the volunteers who help keep our sport moving. 📣

You’re invited!

On Saturday, 8th August 2026, The Motorsport Club will once again hold our annual Awards Night - a chance to get everyone together for a well-earned night off and to recognise the people who help make motorsport happen. 🤩

For one night, the radios get turned off, the overalls stay at home, and the people usually standing trackside get to relax and be recognised for everything they do during the season.

Whether it’s flag points, recovery, timing, race control, scrutineering, or one of the hundred other jobs that keep race meetings running, this night is about saying thanks to the people who make it happen. 🥳

There will be good food, a few laughs, some well-deserved awards… and we promise nobody will need to dress anything with oil soak for this event!

Blink and you’ll miss it… that’s the 2025–2026 season done and dusted. Hard to believe we’re already at the final event!...

A short, sharp event this Saturday team, as we head to Hampton Downs one last time this season for the North Island Endurance Series. The day is expected to wrap up around 2pm, so if you’re keen to come out and support, get in touch with your HOD or flick us a message.

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers for their incredible efforts this weekend.

It was one of the biggest weekends for declared races that I have witnessed, and there were massive efforts from everyone to keep the day running to schedule. The whole crew really stepped up to the bar, and it did not go unnoticed.

We appreciate the time, energy, and commitment you all put in to make these events happen.

Wishing everyone a great week ahead before NIEDRC on Saturday, where we wrap up the season!

What a weekend at NZIGP Legends of Speed! What. a. weekend!

To all our amazing volunteer officials - thank you!

This one threw plenty at us - multiple major oil spills, a fog delay on Sunday morning, and a record breaking 100+ buckets of soak used across the weekend (a record I'm keen not to repeat, thanks!) Though it all, you kept the event moving, delivered the full programme and kept the laughs and the energy going right to the end!

As Jason quipped on Sunday evening, we are a well-oiled machine....

Special thanks to our friends at the BMW Race Driver Series who jumped in to help us with numbers this weekend, love sharing both sides of our sport with you; that combined knowledge really does make us all better at this game!

Take a couple of weekends off, and see you trackside in April!
