We hold monthly meetings (February through November) with speakers and discussions; light refreshments included.

New research has found there is not enough rain and river water in Canterbury to dilute nitrate pollution from dairy farming to acceptable drinking water standards.

happy new year Resilient Hurunui - just an update on the coming year. We will be back but public meetings are still in the "too hard" basket for awhile longer. Main reason is that the covid situation is very fluid and will probably continue to be so- and we have to pay for advertising a month out from the meeting's dates. Simply put, if we have to cancel/postpone meetings it costs us all of our koha from the last meeting. So, until we can figure out how to meet safely and in a well-ventilated space (difficult when we need video equipment too) we are still on-hold. We aren't dead though!

Just to update- there will not be a presentation in September. We have not yet made any decisions about October or November but will certainly let you know when we have. Big plans for next year are in the works, too though!
