Dear friends all around the globe. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy new year.
We hope you are doing fine and finding ways to tackle in with your life in this global pandemic.

We have been quite busy with the ongoing work of the Foundation and its delighting to see the Foundation growing stronger each day.

The global pandemic of coronavirus disease has certaintly impacted on all of our lives. Nepal is not an exception to COVID-19 and is currently facing a challenge to prevent the spread of infection. Though, the county has been open after the huge losses on all the aspect of economy. The country has been open for national and international travellers still with few travel restrictions.

As president of Nepal dissolve house and calls polls for April 30 and May 10, there is a new wave on the political air. There are protest going on across the country after prime minister recommended dissolution of the house of representatives.

Besides corona and recent politial scenario, our work here in the Foundation is going well. Only a small hindrance was we didnt get any labourers for the construction of volunteer house which we were expecting to get from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Unluckily JICA’s project got phase out from our village. But our good fellow villagers were kind enough to get involved for the construction. We also got financial grant from the government as an earthquake relief. The bricks, cements, rod, sand and other construction material is already on the site.

We also finished cutting down bamboo from the farm for the construction of greenhouse. The plastics are already bought and brought on the site. We wish to grow some seasonal organic vegetables after the completion of the greenhouse. We are still finding a way to bring water in the farm as farm is few minutes walk from the volunteer house.

This month we took an initiation of finding a science teacher for the government school in the village. Both teaching and learning has been affected because of shortage of Science teacher for class 6 to 10. The poor management of the schools, shortage of skilled teachers and lack of proper monitoring in these schools by government head towards the dark future of the students. Unfortunately we are still seeking for enthusiastic volunteers.

We were hoping to conduct a health program in mid December but we couldnot carry out the program due to inadequate funds to accommodate two health officers and transportation of the donated medicines to the village. But we will certainly conduct the health program as soon as allocated funds are met.

We are thankful to the community where we work and all the kind persons from Indrawati Rural Municipality for their cooperation on getting the grant for the volunteer house. Without your support, it would not have been possible.

We would also like to appreciate all our donors from Germany, Poland, Australia, Switzerland and U.S.A who shared their hands, ideas and offered their contributions and share our work across the world. Your ongoing enthusiasm will always help us spread the Foundation's vision of eco-tourism, organic farming and sustainable growth to a next level.

Most of the public schools in Nepal are under-resourced and are struggling to get qualified teachers and to keep them. Here, in more remote areas such as ours, the government has not allocated enough teachers to our region, leading to a shortage in teachers teaching secondary students in schools. As a result, many teachers are overburdened and under-qualified to properly train all of these students to succeed in the board examination compromise the education of students appearing for the SEE.

Shri Sipa Tinghare Sanskrit Higher Secondary School located in the district of Sindhupalchok Nepal is facing this exact scenario at the moment. Both teaching and learning has been affected because of Shortage of Science teacher for class 6 to 10. The poor management of the schools, shortage of skilled teachers and lack of proper monitoring in these schools by government head towards the dark future of the students.

Himshikhar Eco Foundation Nepal is currently seeking to help by finding a good science teacher for the school. We believe with the support of local people and eager volunteers from around the global community, we can provide good education facilities which are not satisfactory at the moment. Your act might seem negligible, but it'll definitely make a bigger impact than if we were to tackle these problems alone.

We provide free food, accommodation, and a small salary as an honour for providing your valuable time to the village and its people.

Volunteering is indeed a selfless act through which one can spread love and hope for a better life, among the underprivileged ones. Our Himshikhar Foundation aims to foster health and well being by introducing various sustainability initiatives and implement innovative new ideas. Sindhupalchowk had been severely affected by earthquake 2015 and this place yet needs to be fully recovered.
The education and health facilities are not satisfactory at the moment, but with the support of local people and eager volunteers from around the global community, we can make a thriving ecosystem for all of us to live in collectively! Your act might seem negligible, but it'll definitely make a bigger impact than if we were to tackle these problems alone.

Happy Dashain and Prosperous Diwali.
On this auspicious occasion, we wish the color, bliss, and beauty of this festival to be with you thorough out the year.

We have been pretty busy these days but our foundation of the volunteer house is recently completed. And, it is very warming to see our foundation building stronger each day.

Only the governmental works has been slowed due to COVID-19 pandemic. The rural municipality where we are based on has been sealed but the work in foundation is flourishing as the local workers are working hard to meet our vision on time.

The fields look happy and green. Harvesting and planting millet and rice are going well.

All this is because of the belief, cooperation and support from friends, colleagues and our kind donors from around the world.

Recently, we have taken an initiative of our sustainable tourism project by organizing a photo contest titled “Youth in Travel”. We know the fact that ‘Visit Nepal 2020’ failed miserably due to COVID-19 pandemic around the world. Tourism couldn’t flourish and Nepal’s economy gradually declined with time. So, to give a brighter exposure to Nepal’s tourism, we are taking an opportunity to promote West Nepal.

Thank you so much once again to all our friends and donors who shared their hands, ideas and offered their contributions from across the world. Without your support, it would not have been possible. Your ongoing enthusiasm will always help us spread the foundation's vision of eco-tourism, organic farming and sustainable growth to a next level. Thank you so much!!!
