The Closing Ceremony of the Basic and Advanced Canyoning Training was held with great enthusiasm at the stunning Phung Phung Waterfall, Kakani — a historic natural marvel standing over 100 meters tall.

The program was graced by the Honorable Former Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Mr. Hit Bahadur Tamang as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Rajendra Lama, Executive Member of the Nepal Tourism Board, as the Special Guest. The event was conducted under the chairmanship of Kakani Rural Municipality.

The official inauguration of the Adventure Sport: Canyoning was a grand success, marking a milestone for promoting adventure tourism in the region. The training proved to be both impactful and inspiring, empowering participants with technical skills, safety knowledge, and a deeper appreciation for Nepal’s adventure tourism potential.

Subject: Announcement of Basic and Advanced Canyoning Guide Training 2025

Nepal Canyoning Association (NCA) is pleased to announce the Basic and Advanced Canyoning Guide Training Programs scheduled for June 2025. These training sessions are part of NCA’s ongoing commitment to develop skilled canyoning professionals in Nepal.

1. Training Details
A. Basic Canyoning Guide Training
• Venue: Sisneri Jharana, Kakani, Nuwakot (Shivapuri)
• Date: 5th June 2025 – 11th June 2025
• Quota: 25 participants
• Fee: Rs. 8,000 per person
• Includes: Transportation, meals and snacks, training materials, camping, and practical sessions led by certified instructors

B. Advanced Canyoning Guide Training
• Venue: Phungphung Jharana, Kakani, Nuwakot
• Date: 13th June 2025 – 19th June 2025
• Quota: 15 participants

2. Important Dates
• Application Deadline: 21st May 2025 – 30th May 2025
• Selection Interview/Test: 31st May 2025
• Orientation Session: 4th June 2025 at NCA Office

3. Eligibility Criteria-Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
• Member of NCA or staff of an NCA-affiliated agency with experience in trekking, climbing, canyoning, or rafting
• Basic rope-handling skills (e.g., rock climbing or mountaineering)
• Strong swimming ability
• English communication and leadership skills
• Good physical and mental health
• Minimum education: SEE or 2 years of field experience
• Willingness to comply with NCA rules and regulations

4. What to Bring
• Towel, extra clothes (trousers and loose T-shirts)
• Non-slippery sneakers suitable for canyoning
• Personal items (sunblock, swimwear, extra underwear, water bottle, etc.)
