On December 15, 2025, SAPIENS successfully conducted an engaging presentation at Kalika Secondary School, Rambazar, for Grade 11 and 12 (Science stream) students on the topic "Worlds Beyond Earth: Exploring Exoplanets and Alien Life.”

The session was led by the President of SAPIENS, Sandip Adhikari, and carried out collaboratively by the SAPIENS team, including
Ramsharan Thapa, Sushant Regmi, Bibek Pariyar, Gokul Shrestha, and Pratik Adhikari.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Bashudev Adhikari (सहायक प्रधानाध्यापक) and Science Coordinator for their valuable support and coordination, which made this session possible.

The presentation aimed to spark curiosity, promote scientific thinking, and encourage students to explore ideas beyond Earth and our solar system. The attentive participation of the students made the session truly meaningful.
At SAPIENS, we continue to stay committed to our mission: “Elevating the minds of Pokhara.”

This week, Sapiens organized a campaign titled 'Normalizing Periods', where we addressed the lack of open conversations around menstruation.

We eliminated the awkwardness associated with this topic in a whopping 370+ students from grades 5 to 10. Our session covered "Why Boys Should Also Know About Menstruation", "Social Taboos Around Periods" to "Health and Hygiene During Periods". It received serious attention, especially from the male students.

Our team identified the apparent shame around menstruation to be a big issue. Breaking the norm of excluding boys in the conversations surrounding this topic, our session helped students understand each other better.

We would like to thank Shree Taal Barahi Secondary School and Shree Dharmasthali Basic School for giving us the opportunity to reach the notable number of students on the 17th and 21st of November respectively.

Special mention to Sapiens members Ms. Prapti Shrestha, Ms. Mamun Chhetri, Ms. Malini Baral, Ms. Nuri Gurung, Ms. Anusha Bhusal and Mr. Safal Gurung for helping make this possible.

Recently, Our club president Anjan had the great opportunity to speak with ex-Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai on a number of issues of great importance. They engaged in dialogue on topics of paramount importance to every young Nepali like the nation’s economy and its social issues, the education and the youth in the process of nation building. They even plunged into intellectual territory, pondering the contemporary implications of Hegel’s philosophy.

Dr. Bhattarai's words of wisdom, timeless in nature, was encouraging. Young people should be advised, he said, to not only active concern but also invest in the future of Nepal – and at the same time pursue one’s own purpose in life without neglecting one’s social duty towards society. It was a beautiful moment of exchange - how the young generation of Nepal can make so much difference in taking a step ahead in the transition of the nation.

Go Sapiens! Today, our team assisted Dr. Aashish Poudel in his efforts to shed light on the topic 'Exploration of the Psychological Development of Sexuality in Adolescence: Identity, Behavior, and Emotional Health.' This project was an extension of YoSHAN (Youth-led Sexual and Reproductive Health Advocacy Nepal), where our group's members, Anjan Poudel and Dishanta Gauchan, also presented.

We extend our gratitude to Shree Ratna Jyoti Secondary School and the students there who attended the informative session despite their Dashain holidays having already been started.

This marks Sapiens' second event, plus a strong commitment to elevating the minds of Pokhara from the whole team.

On September 22, Sapiens organized an informative seminar featuring two presentations: "How ChatGPT Works" and "Emotions Through the Lens of Neuroscience". We successfully reached over 100 students from grades 8 to 10.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Nabin Secondary School, Gairapatan, and Shukraraj Balabhadra Secondary School, Chinnedanda, for hosting the seminar.

This event officially marks Sapiens' first organized seminar and a significant step toward our mission of "Elevating the Minds of Pokhara".
