Public schools in Nepal face many challenges 🏫. They often lack proper buildings and equipment. Many children suffer from malnutrition 🍚, and there is little support for children with special needs 🤝. Most families who send their children to public schools are poor 💛, which makes quality education difficult.
The public education budget is small 💰 and often limited by debt, so schools do not receive enough investment. Because of this, many families choose private schools instead of public ones. As a result, public schools often depend on external donations 🙏.
At BiCa, Saroj told us about the public school where his children study 📚. The school is in very poor condition.
Sometimes, our guests would like to donate to a school, and we guide them to the one attended by BiCa’s children.
