Public schools in Nepal face many challenges π«. They often lack proper buildings and equipment. Many children suffer from malnutrition π, and there is little support for children with special needs π€. Most families who send their children to public schools are poor π, which makes quality education difficult.
The public education budget is small π° and often limited by debt, so schools do not receive enough investment. Because of this, many families choose private schools instead of public ones. As a result, public schools often depend on external donations π.
At BiCa, Saroj told us about the public school where his children study π. The school is in very poor condition.
Sometimes, our guests would like to donate to a school, and we guide them to the one attended by BiCaβs children.
Adeline stayed at BiCa Eco-Village πΏ and kindly donated two tables and two whiteboards πͺπ.
Thank you to her for her presence and generosity β¨
