🌐 Empowering Youth for a Safer Digital Future! 🌐
On the occasion of International Youth Day 2026 — themed "Different Contexts, Shared Aspirations" — the Leadership Academy Youth Group, Buddhshanti–1, under the Leadership Academy Programme (a joint initiative of Global Learning Lab and Sahara Nepal), organized an Orientation Programme on Cyber Safety and Digital Platforms for Youth Self-Employment on 12 August 2026.
In coordination with Buddhshanti Rural Municipality Ward No. 1 and Shree Adarsha Secondary School, Buddhshanti–2, Jhapa, the session equipped students with knowledge on safe digital practices, online self-employment, freelancing, e-commerce, content creation, and social responsibility.
Building digitally aware, self-reliant youth — one orientation at a time! 💻🚀

Teachers first experienced the Leadership Academy process themselves, practicing content delivery — then 12 teachers went on to lead 2 Leadership Academies, cascading the learning directly to students! 🙌

🎓 4-Day Train-The-Trainer Program: A Success Story! 🎓
Big milestones achieved in collaboration with Birgunj Public College! 🌟
Our 4-Day Leadership Academy (LA) Train-The-Trainer program ran from 9th–12th July 2026, empowering educators to become leaders of change.
📚 Days 1–4: Teachers experienced the LA process firsthand — engaging deeply with the content and practicing delivery themselves.
👩‍🏫 The Impact: 12 dedicated teachers then stepped up to lead 2 Leadership Academies, cascading their learning directly to students!
This is what sustainable leadership development looks like — educators empowering educators, and knowledge multiplying across classrooms. 🙌
A huge congratulations to all the teachers who took this journey and are now paying it forward! 👏

Two incredible days of growth, connection, and learning! 🌟
Our 2-Day Leadership Academy at Asia Women Bridge Nepal, conducted by Global Learning Lab in association with Sahasrara Foundation took place on 11th & 18th April 2026 — and what an experience it was! Participants were from Asia Women Bridge Nepal, JCIPatan Lady and Sahasrara Foundations.
From active participation to powerful teamwork and rich knowledge sharing, every moment reflected the spirit of collaborative leadership. 🤝💡

🌟Building Healthy and Respectful Life Together 🌟
On June 22, 2026, we proudly supported a powerful Student Orientation & Awareness Program on substance abuse prevention in Mechinagar-4, Jhapa, Nepal! 🇳🇵
🤝 Organized by the Leadership Academy Youth Group, Bahundangi, in collaboration with:
📍 Global Learning Lab
📍 Sahara Nepal
📍 Mechinagar Municipality Ward Office
📍 District Administration Office, Jhapa
📍 District Police Office, Jhapa
🎤 The program was chaired by Ward Chairperson Arjun Karki, with Assistant CDO Tej Prakash Prasai as Chief Guest and District Police Chief Basundhara Khadka as Special Guest.
💬 Key discussions focused on:
✅ How children fall prey to substance abuse and trafficking
✅ Warning signs and tactics used to lure youth (ci******es, to***co, gutkha as gateway substances)
✅ Saying NO to temptation and peer pressure
✅ Building substance-free communities
👮 The District Police Chief delivered a powerful presentation on the dangers and consequences of drug involvement.
👥 With 108 participants — including 69 students from 4 local schools, teachers, youth leaders, journalists, and security personnel — this was a true community effort toward safer, healthier futures for our children. 💙

From Waste to Water — Youth Leading the Way!
As part of the Sustainable Impact Project under the Leadership Academy — run in collaboration with Global Learning Lab, Sahara Nepal, and Buddhasanti Rural Municipality Ward No. 1 — youth participants took environmental action to the next level.
Following the tree plantation drive on World Environment Day, the team returned on June 14, 2026 to install a drip irrigation system to protect the saplings — built entirely from discarded plastic bottles (Coke, Fanta, and others).
♻️ Here's what they did:
🎋 Bamboo stakes were planted beside each sapling
🍼 Recycled bottles were filled with water and hung to enable slow drip irrigation
💧 A simple, zero-cost, eco-friendly solution — made from waste!
Special thanks to Ram Lal Koirala, Chairperson of Hadiya Khola Embankment Consumer Committee, who donated the bamboo needed for the project. The committee and local community have also committed to refilling the bottles regularly to sustain the effort.
This is what youth-led change looks like — responsible, resourceful, and rooted in community. 🌍

Taking action for a cleaner and greener future!

On World Environment Day, June 5, the Jala Rover Rangers Crew successfully conducted a Clean-Up Camp at the plantation site in Harisiddhi Community, Ward No. 28. The plantation area, where flowering plants were planted on February 21 and 25 as part of the Sustainable Impact Project, was cleaned and maintained to ensure its continued growth and positive environmental impact.

Small actions create lasting change. Together, we are nurturing not only plants but also a culture of environmental responsibility and community stewardship.

🌱 World Environment Day 2026 Celebration 🌱

On the occasion of World Environment Day, June 5, 2026 (Jestha 22, 2083), the first phase of a tree plantation program was successfully completed in Mechinagar Municipality Ward No. 4.

The program was organized with the active participation of Mechinagar Ward No. 4 Office, Sahara Nepal, Division Forest Office Jhapa, Global Learning Lab, Leadership Academy Bahundangi Youth Group, Armed Police Force BOP Bahundangi, Nepal Police Post Bahundangi, Goreto Tole, and local community members.

Various species of flowering and fruit-bearing trees were planted to promote environmental conservation and create a greener, healthier community. As part of the initiative to reduce plastic usage, reusable market bags were also distributed to local residents.

Together, we are taking meaningful steps toward a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future. 🌿♻️
