साङ्केतिक भाषा बिना मानव अधिकार सम्भव छैन” भन्ने यस वर्षको नारालाई मूर्त रूप दिने प्रयास स्वरूप साझा शिक्षा ई-पाटी नेपालले राष्ट्रिय बहिरा महासंघ नेपालसँग सहकार्य गर्दै साङ्केतिक भाषामा नेपाली मौलिक कथा तथा विद्यालय स्तरीय पाठ्यक्रममा आधारित अन्तर्क्रियात्मक पाठहरू निर्माण गरिरहेको छ। हामीलाई यस कार्यमा सहयोग पुर्‍याउनु हुने लगायत सम्पूर्ण सुनाईसम्बन्धी अपाङ्गता भएका महानुभावहरूमा आठौँ साङ्केतिक भाषाहरूको अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय दिवस - २०८२ को अवसरमा हार्दिक शुभकामना व्यक्त गर्दछौँ।

In line with this year’s theme, “No Human Rights Without Sign Language Rights,” OLE Nepal is working with the National Federation of the Deaf Nepal to bring this vision to life.

Together, we’re creating Nepali Sign Language versions of indigenous Nepali stories and interactive, curriculum-based lessons to make learning more inclusive and accessible.

"म झुम्रा नाच नाच्छु" कथा थारुहरूको परम्परागत झुम्रा नाचसँग सम्बन्धित कथा हो। यो कथा एउटा बालक आफू सानो छँदा देखि युवा अवस्था सम्म पुग्दा उसको उमेरसँगै झुम्रा नाचसँगको सम्बन्धको बारेमा हो। यसमा उसको बाल्यपनको सम्झना र झुम्रा नाच तथा त्‍यससँग सम्बन्धित श्रृंगारको बारेमा पनि समावेश गरिएको छ। झुम्रा नाच थारुहरूको प्रख्यात नाच मध्य एक हो। यो पूर्वदेखि पश्चिमका थारुहरूले नाच्‍ने नाच पनि हो जसमा छोरा मान्छे छोरीको गहना लगाएर छोरी चेलीकै हाउभाउमा नाच्‍ने गर्दछन्। खास गरेर यो कथा एउटा बालकको झुम्रा नाच प्रतिको मोह र बाल्यपनको सम्झनाको बारेमा हो।

The story "Ma Jhumraa Naach Naachcchu" (म झुम्रा नाच नाच्छु) revolves around a child's deep connection with Jhumra Naach, a traditional dance of the Tharus. It traces his journey from a small child to a young man, with his childhood memories intertwined beautifully with the rhythms of Jhumra Naach. Jhumra Naach, one of the renowned dances of the Tharu community, is performed across the region from east to west Nepal. In this dance, men don their daughters' ornaments and dance as if embodying their daughters. This story particularly highlights the child's fascination with Jhumra Naach and how it shapes his childhood memories.

जुनेली रात" धन बहादुर बिटालु १३ वर्षको हुँदा आफैँले भोगेको घटनालाई आधार बनाएर लेखेको कथा हो। यो कथा नेपालमा सङ्कटकालको समयमा माओवादी विद्रोहको बेला उनको गाउँमा एक रात घटेको अविस्मरणीय घटनाहरू बारे हो।

Written by Dhana Bahadur Bitalu, "Juneli Raat" (जूनेली रात) recounts his emotional experience as a 13-year-old boy during the Maoist insurgency in Nepal. Set in his village, the story captures the events of one unforgettable night.

"म, बाजे र भुत", रामु विश्वकर्माद्वारा लिखित कथा हो। यस कथामा बाजेले रामुलाई नियमित सरसफाइ गर्नलाई उत्‍प्रेरित गर्न भूतको डर देखाएका हुन्छन्। यस कथामा वास्तवमा हाम्रो वरिपरिको प्रकृतिमा कुनै पनि भूतप्रेत हुँदैनन्, बरु मान्छेमान्छे भित्र नै सामाजिक समस्याहरू हुन्छन् भन्‍न खोजिएको छ।

Ma, Baaje Ra Bhoot" (म, बाजे र भुत), translated as "I, My Grandfather, and the Ghost," is a story by Ramu Vishwakarma. In this story, Baaje (the grandfather) uses the fear of ghosts to motivate young Ramu to keep up with his chores. Yet, the story suggests that while actual ghosts may not exist, the real "ghosts" are the social issues that haunt our society.
