Sajha Prayas Nepal is a youth-led non-profit working for the rights, protection, and empowerment of children, women, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities, with a strong focus on mental health, awareness, education, and accessible support for all Founded 2016 as Welfare Ray by a group of passionate social work students, we officially became Sajha Prayas Nepal in 2024, uniting our efforts under a shared vision of creating meaningful change through humanitarian service. We are committed to supporting children, women, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. By enhancing educational opportunities for children, empowering women to reach their full potential, and delivering essential social, health, and mental health services, we strive to make a lasting impact. At Sajha Prayas Nepal, we are dedicated to building a compassionate and inclusive society where everyone can live with dignity, hope, and purpose.

Today is World Mental Health Day.

This year’s theme (Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change) reminds us to listen to the people who have actually been through it, and to let what they say shape what comes next.

We spent the day with the team at Basic School, Bidur-3, Nuwakot. Much of the session was spent listening: teachers mapping what they have been seeing in their own classrooms since the flood, and what they have found helps. Through a series of interactive activities, we worked out together how to respond to a student who is struggling, and when to seek further support.

Our sincere thanks to the Schools Network team and the school team for the opportunity to come together and contribute something meaningful.

आजको बाढी प्रकोपपछि साझा प्रयास नेपालको टोली राष्ट्रिय ट्रमा सेन्टर, सिभिल अस्पताल र वीर अस्पतालमा दिनभरि उपस्थित रह्यो।

नेपाल प्रहरीको समन्वयमा, उद्धार गरी अस्पताल ल्याइएका व्यक्तिहरूको जानकारी लिन आउनुभएका परिवारजनलाई नाम खोजी गर्न सहयोग गर्‍यौं। साथै, नेपाल प्रहरीको आधिकारिक फेसबुक पृष्ठमार्फत उद्धार गरिएका व्यक्तिहरूको विवरण आफैं खोज्न सक्ने गरी परिवारजनलाई डिजिटल रूपमा जानकारी तथा सहयोग प्रदान गरियो।

आफ्नो परिवारको खबर नपाई प्रतीक्षा गरिरहनुभएका परिवारजनको अवस्था अत्यन्त कठिन रहेको छ। यस्तो बेला सही र समयमै प्राप्त हुने जानकारी नै पहिलो सहयोग हो।
