Previously, we purchased school uniforms from the market. Now, we have supported two members of our women’s group to sew uniforms for our children.पहिले हामी विद्यालयको पोशाक बजारबाट खरिद गर्थ्यौं। अब भने, हाम्रो महिला समूहका दुई सदस्यलाई विद्यालय पोशाक सिलाउने अवसर प्रदान गरेका छौं।

In the first batch, they prepared 39 uniforms, generating a combined additional income of NPR 35,000 in just 1.5 months, on top of their regular earnings. This has created meaningful local employment and strengthened their financial independence. पहिलो चरणमा उहाँहरूले ३९ सेट पोशाक तयार गर्नुभयो र डेढ महिनामा आफ्नो नियमित आम्दानी बाहेक थप रु. ३५,००० कमाउन सफल हुनुभयो। यसले स्थानीय रोजगारी सिर्जना गर्नुका साथै आर्थिक आत्मनिर्भरता पनि बढाएको छ।

Even more inspiring, they voluntarily decided to contribute NPR 100 per uniform back to the women’s group for the common good. झन् प्रेरणादायी कुरा त के छ भने, उहाँहरूले स्वेच्छाले प्रत्येक पोशाकबाट रु. १०० महिला समूहको साझा हितका लागि योगदान गर्ने निर्णय गर्नुभएको छ।

They will continue receiving uniform orders throughout the academic cycle, ensuring ongoing income opportunities. Importantly, this initiative is still more affordable than purchasing from the market. उहाँहरूले शैक्षिक वर्षभरि नै विद्यालय पोशाकको अर्डर पाउने हुनुहुन्छ, जसले निरन्तर आम्दानी सुनिश्चित गर्नेछ। साथै, यो पहल बजारबाट किन्नुभन्दा अझै सस्तो छ।

This effort is empowering women, encouraging families, and building a stronger community together. यसले महिला सशक्तिकरण, परिवारको उत्साह, र समुदायको एकता अझ बलियो बनाएको छ।

In eastern Nepal, we witness talent, joy, and courage in children every day. पूर्वी नेपालमा हामी प्रत्येक दिन बालबालिकामा लुकेको प्रतिभा, खुशी र साहस देखिरहेका छौँ।

They shine in schools and public programs—through singing, dancing, sports, and many other creative and active pursuits. उनीहरू विद्यालय तथा सार्वजनिक कार्यक्रमहरूमा गीत, नृत्य, खेलकुद लगायत विभिन्न सिर्जनात्मक र सक्रिय गतिविधिहरूमा सहभागी हुँदै उज्यालो देखिन्छन्।

When children are given love, guidance, and opportunities, they grow with confidence and hope. माया, मार्गदर्शन र अवसर पाउँदा बालबालिका आत्मविश्वास र आशासँगै अघि बढ्छन्।

Every child deserves a safe space to dream, to express themselves, and to become who they are meant to be. हरेक बालबालिकाले सपना देख्ने, आफूलाई अभिव्यक्त गर्ने र आफू बन्ने सुरक्षित ठाउँ पाउनुपर्छ।

दिपेन्द्र कप २०८२ – फुटबल मात्र होइन, बालबालिकाको उज्ज्वल भविष्यको मैदान!

Every year, Dipendra School in the Dharan slum community organizes the Dipendra Cup, a friendly football tournament among primary schools of Dharan. With continuous support from Peace Himalaya through teachers, mid-day meals, extra-curricular activities, and family assistance, and school infrastructure improvements, the school has been able to nurture not just education, but confidence, teamwork, and hope.हरेक वर्ष धरानको बस्ती क्षेत्रमा रहेको दिपेन्द्र स्कुलले "दिपेन्द्र कप" आयोजना गर्छ, धरानका विभिन्न प्राथमिक विद्यालयहरूबीचको मैत्रीपूर्ण फुटबल प्रतियोगिता। शिक्षक सहयोग, मध्याह्न भोजन, अतिरिक्त क्रियाकलाप र परिवार सहयोगमार्फत साथै विद्यालयको पूर्वाधार सुदृढीकरणमार्फत पिस हिमालयले निरन्तर साथ दिँदै आएको यस विद्यालयमा शिक्षासँगै आत्मविश्वास, टिमवर्क र आशाको विकास भइरहेको छ।

उही मैदानमा पुस्ता–पुस्ता एकसाथ देखिनु आफैँमा प्रेरणादायी—सिकाइ, साहस र रमाइलो उमेरले होइन, अवसरले निर्धारण गर्छ भन्ने सन्देश।

A Celebration of Talent & Inclusion – Boys, girls, and even mothers take part, reminding us that sports can empower everyone. समावेशिता र प्रतिभा प्रदर्शन – बालक, बालिका, यहाँसम्म कि आमाहरूको सहभागिताले खेल सबैलाई सशक्त बनाउने माध्यम हो भन्ने देखाउँछ।

A Step Toward a Brighter Future – Sports nurture resilience, teamwork, and healthy habits—skills that go far beyond the playing field. भविष्यतर्फको कडा पाइला – खेलकुदले धैर्य, टिमवर्क र स्वस्थ बानीहरू विकास गर्छ—जुन ककक्षाको पातालभन्दा धेरै टाढासम्म साथ दिन्छन्।

Today, we witnessed a wonderful social awareness program led by the talented teachers and children of Dipendra Memorial School.आज हामीले दिपेन्द्र स्मृति आधारभूत बिद्यालय का शिक्षक र विद्यार्थीहरूले प्रस्तुत गरेको एक अद्भुत सामाजिक सचेतना कार्यक्रमको अवलोकन गर्ने सौभाग्य प्राप्त गर्यौं।

Through songs, dances, and plays, they beautifully shared messages that inspire the community to understand the realities around them — and take positive action for change. गीत, नृत्य र नाटकहरूका माध्यमबाट, उनीहरूले वरपरको समुदायलाई आफ्नो परिवेश बुझ्न र सकारात्मक परिवर्तनका लागि कदम चाल्न प्रेरित गर्ने सन्देशहरू सुन्दर रूपमा प्रस्तुत गरे।

We were also joined by some of our former students, now studying in higher classes, who returned as guest performers — a truly heartwarming moment of connection and pride. कार्यक्रममा अहिले उच्च कक्षामा अध्ययनरत हाम्रा पूर्व विद्यार्थीहरू पनि अतिथि कलाकारका रूपमा सहभागी भएका थिए — पुनर्मिलन र गौरवको एक हृदयस्पर्शी क्षण।

Events like these remind us that awareness begins with understanding — and that children can be powerful voices for transformation in their communities. यस्ता कार्यक्रमहरूले हामीलाई सम्झाउँछन् कि सचेतना बुझाइबाट सुरु हुन्छ, र बालबालिका नै आफ्नो समुदायमा परिवर्तनका सशक्त आवाज बन्न सक्छन्। ❤️

President of Peace Himalaya - Swiss section joined the “𝐃𝐞́𝐟𝐢 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞́𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬” campaign in La Chaux-de-Fonds, a month-long initiative encouraging residents to leave their cars behind and choose eco-friendly ways of moving — walking, biking, or public transport. 🚶‍♀️🚲🚌

On October 1st, participants gathered for a closing event to celebrate this inspiring movement for a healthier planet and cleaner cities.

We express our solidarity with this beautiful cause — it aligns deeply with our commitment to ecology, care for our common home, and protecting the environment for future generations.

We’re excited to share an important update from our school in the slum community of eastern Nepal, where around 200 children are currently receiving education — a number that continues to grow each year. 🌱

Until recently, the school operated only up to Grade 5, but thanks to the government’s recent approval, we are now upgrading to Grade 8! 🎉 This milestone means children from the slum community can continue their studies without interruption, paving the way toward completing their school-level education and shaping brighter futures ahead.

However, the journey isn’t without challenges. The school urgently needs more classrooms and a stronger building that can withstand potential earthquakes. With your continued support, we are now working to build a safer, better learning environment — a place where dreams can grow, and education can truly transform lives. ❤️

🌱 हाम्रा नानीहरूको लागि आशाको आधार 🌱

Today, our hearts were filled with joy as the respected Mayor: Harka Sampang A Revolution , Deputy Mayor: Aindra Bikram Begha-धरान उपमहानगर उपप्रमुख- Secretariat , and Ward -17 President: मनोज भट्टराईको सचिवालय stood with us to lay the foundation of the new school building at दिपेन्द्र स्मृति आधारभूत बिद्यालय (Dipendra School). Surrounded by our cultural rituals and blessings, it felt like a true celebration of community and love for our children.

We are deeply grateful to our leaders — especially our beloved Mayor, who, with his down-to-earth nature and millions of admirers across the world, showed once again that his heart beats for the people, for children, and for education. ❤️

This foundation is not only for walls and classrooms — it is for dreams waiting to be realized, for children who deserve a brighter tomorrow, and for families who carry hope in their hearts every day.

With the support of Stichting Kinderen van de Wereld, Peace Himalaya and Jcycn , we believe this school will become a safe home of learning, where every child, no matter their background, will be able to dream big, stand tall, and build a better future.

This year, Peace Himalaya joined hands with the Shree Janajagaran Women’s Group to celebrate Teej in the heart of Patan City. But this is more than just a festival, it’s a story of togetherness.

Not long ago, neighbours here hardly came together. Now from gathering like this, women connect, families unites, and a sense of harmony and cooperation grows stronger.

Every shared laugh, every warm handshake, and every smile builds a stronger neighbourhood, one where people care, shared and celebrate as one.

Thanks to Janajagaran women's group for making it happen. Today, we celebrate more than Teej. We celebrate community, friendship, and peace.

यस वर्ष, Peace Himalaya ले श्री जनजागरण महिला समूह सँग हातेमालो गर्दै पाटन सहरको मुटुमै तीज मनायो। तर यो केवल पर्व मात्र होइन, यो त एकताको कथा हो।

केही समयअघि यहाँका छिमेकीहरू प्रायः सँगै आउँदैनथे। तर यस्ता जमघटका माध्यमबाट अब महिलाहरू जोडिँदैछन्, परिवारहरू एकताबद्ध हुँदैछन्, र मेलमिलाप र सहकार्यको भावना अझ बलियो हुँदै गएको छ।

हिजो एक सानी बालिका स्थानीय प्रहरीले फेला पारेपछि हाम्रो साझेदार संस्थाले सञ्चालन गरेको बाल गृहमा सिफारिस गरिन्। पहिलो तस्बिरमा उहाँको अनुहारमा देखिएको अन्योल र पीडाको बोझ प्रस्ट देखिन्छ — साना हातहरूले एक खेलौना समाइरहेकी छिन्, सायद त्यही एक मात्र चिज हो जुन उहाँलाई चिनिएको थियो।

तर हाम्रो caregiver को माया र धैर्यका कारण, केवल एक दिनमै उहाँको अनुहार मुस्कानले उज्यालो भयो। 🌼

अब उहाँ सुरक्षित, हेरचाहमा हुनुहुन्छ, र बिस्तारै स्वस्थ जीवनमा फर्कने बाटोमा हुनुहुन्छ। यो परिवर्तनले देखाउँछ कि माया, सुरक्षा र सम्मानले कसरी एक बालकको जीवन नै परिवर्तन गर्न सक्छ।

हामी स्थानीय प्रहरी प्रशासन, हाम्रो साझेदार गृह, र हरेक बालबालिकाको अधिकार र भलाइको पक्षमा उभिने सबैलाई धन्यवाद दिन चाहन्छौँ।🙏

आउनुहोस्, हामी कमजोर अवस्थाका बालबालिकाको सुरक्षा गर्दै, हरेक अनुहारमा फेरि मुस्कान ल्याउने यात्रामा अघि बढौँ।
