Empowering the Team on Social Safeguards:

Nepal Energy Foundation successfully conducted a comprehensive capacity-building training on "Social and Environmental Safeguards" on March 9-10, 2026.
As we continue to advance energy solutions across Nepal, integrating robust safeguard mechanisms is essential to ensuring our projects are socially inclusive and environmentally responsible. The session provided deep insights into best practices for mitigating risks and enhancing the positive impact of our initiatives on local communities.

Special thanks to our Board Director, Mr. Dil Raj Khanal, for facilitating such an insightful and highly practical session. We also extend our sincere gratitude to our Vice Chairperson, Mr. Sher Singh Bhat, for sharing experience-based examples that broadened our understanding. Their expertise made the training exceptionally valuable for our entire team.

We are excited to apply these learnings to our upcoming projects as we strive toward a more sustainable and equitable energy future.

On 15th September 2024, Nepal Energy Foundation (NEF) organized a discussion program on the topic “Commercialization of Hydrogen Energy in Nepalese Context: Opportunities and Challenges”. Vice Chairperson of NEF: Mr. Sher Singh Bhat presented about the topic and the participants (sector experts, practitioners, stakeholders) discussed about the different aspects of usage and commercialization of Hydrogen Energy, i.e; Green Hydrogen in Nepal.

The book titled “Micro Hydro and Practice of Sustainable Operation” published by NEF and written by Mr. Krishna Adhikari was also launched on the occasion. NEF also published it’s Annual Report to highlight the activities conducted in last year.
