🌿 is not just a theory — Indigenous feminism is powerful ✊🏽 It is an intersectional framework that centers decolonization, Indigenous sovereignty, and human rights for Indigenous women, their families, and communities.

feminism challenges colonial systems, reclaims traditional knowledge, and honors Indigenous ways of knowing and being. This form of feminism is rooted in land, culture, and resistance — and is vital in the global fight for justice and equity.

For thousands of years, indigenous feminists have consistently organized themselves to :

📢 Call out the violence of settler colonialism.
🌲 Protect their ancestral land.
🫂 Honor their ancestral wisdom.
💫 and they fight for the futures of Indigenous women, Two-Spirit people, and their communities.

This is feminism rooted in earth, ceremony, kinship, and liberation.

✊🏽✨ Let’s amplify Indigenous voices and support their leadership in feminist movements.

INWOLAG organized a CEDAW General Recommendation 39 (GR 39) training in Dhorpatan-9 from February 27 to March 1 2025. The training focused on indigenous women’s rights to natural resources and cedaw gr 39 articles. During the session indigenous women and focal persons shared their experiences, particularly the challenges they faced after the establishment of the national park and their access to these resources.

Alongside the local government, participants also discussed budget allocation issues within administration and emphasized the importance of including dedicated funding. The session underscored the need for policy and financial commitments to address these concerns effectively.
