Exploring AI on AWS!!

We successfully conducted AWS Services for Building AI Applications, helping participants explore the AWS ecosystem for AI and machine learning.

The session introduced different tiers of AWS AI services, from managed AI services such as Amazon Polly and Amazon Rekognition to foundation model services through Amazon Bedrock. Participants gained a broader understanding of the tools available on AWS and how these services can be combined to build intelligent applications.

Beyond learning about the services themselves, participants also gained valuable insights into how these technologies are being used in real-world industry projects. The practical experiences shared during the session helped bridge the gap between concepts and implementation, giving attendees ideas on how they can leverage AWS AI services in their hackathon projects.

A special thank you to our speaker Sushant Paudyal for sharing his expertise and practical experiences, making complex topics easier to understand and showing how AI services are used beyond tutorials and demos.

From triggers to architectures!

We successfully wrapped up Serverless not Server-less, where participants explored the fundamentals of serverless computing and discovered how modern cloud applications are built using AWS services.

The session covered AWS Lambda and its real-world use cases, followed by discussions on API Gateway, Amazon SNS, and Amazon SQS to understand how serverless systems communicate, scale, and handle events behind the scenes.

Participants also explored architecture and system design concepts to see how these services come together in real-world applications.

A special thanks to our speaker Abhiyan Khanal for sharing valuable insights and practical experience, which made the session even more impactful and engaging 🙌

And of course, we wrapped up the session with an interactive AWS quiz that made learning even more fun and engaging!

From localhost to the cloud!

We successfully conducted our hands-on deployment session, Frontend, Backend, No Weekend, where participants explored how full stack applications are deployed using AWS services.

The session began with hosting the frontend using Amazon S3, helping participants understand static website hosting and cloud storage. We then moved towards backend deployment on Amazon EC2, where participants learned about server setup, configurations, and how backend services run in the cloud. We also worked with Amazon DynamoDB, connecting it with our backend to understand how NoSQL databases power scalable cloud applications.

And of course, no deployment session is complete without real debugging moments. From configuration issues to the classic missing .env file situation, participants also experienced the practical side of deployment and troubleshooting together 🫡

To wrap up the session, we ended with a fun interactive game and quiz based on AWS services and concepts covered throughout the workshop, making the learning experience even more engaging.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined, participated, asked questions, solved problems together, and made the session lively and meaningful.
