Sakela Rural Municipality is located at an altitude of 69.99 sq km at an altitude of 620-2990 m about 5 km east of Diktel, the district headquarters of Khotang district. There are 5 wards in this Rural Municipality (Baje Chandanda-1, Ratanchha-2, Khidima-3, Mattim-4 and Mattim-5) and the office of the village executive is in Manebhanjyang of ward no. To the east of this village is Bhojpur district
, to the west and north is Diktel Rupakat Majhuvagadhi Municipality and to the south is Diprung Chuichumma Rural Municipality. If we look at this Rural Municipality from the point of view of tourist area, Tamke Danda located in Ward No. 1 and 3 and Selme Danda located in Ward No. 3 facing east from the Rural Municipality have great potential. Despite the predominance of Rai castes, Chhetri, Bahun, Tamang, Gurung, Newar, Kami, Damai, Bhujel and to some extent Magar castes have settled in this village. The total population of this Rural municipality is 11594. The residents of this village are mainly dependent on agriculture and to some extent on government jobs, trade and business, foreign employment, carpentry and carpentry.
